  Great service

  I stayed in this hotel during the WEF meeting in Tianjin held at the Crown Plaza in town which was sadly full. So I had to get a taxi to the Crowne Plaza Jinnan. Eric the reservation's sales director could not have been more helpful and provided a first class service throughout my stay also he even drove me back to the WEF event in his own car! Thank you Eric! Very comfortable rooms, incredibly large with two bathrooms, massive lounge area and desk and a large bedroom. More than I needed. The view was pretty impressive of the city and also showed that you are about 30 minutes out of town! There is a golf course adjacent to the hotel too. It was very quiet and didn't seem that busy. I did not try out the breakfast as had to leave very early the next day but Eric provided free transport to the airport in a large bus! Not his own bus this time! It's not the most convenient hotel for Tianjin and wasn't much cheaper than their other Crowne Plaza in town but I can't complain. I paid 3000 for the night which seemed expensive but I guess I got a suite. The only gripe was that they took 4,000 deposit from my card to include extras which I questioned at the time. However when I came to check out the front desk seemed confused and I said I am only paying 3,000 as nothing was taken from the mini bar! It seems a strange system to take a deposit higher than the room rate, and this even confused their own staff!

  WONDERFUL HOTEL WITH VERY GOOD SERVICE

  I had usually stayed in downtown Tianjin but this trip I needed to save time and also have suppliers come and see me in hotel. Check in was smooth and RAY, the manager was on the spot welcoming guests and doing all the right things. The suite was spacious, the fruit sent us was fresh - all that one appreciates after a 30 hour trip. I was even given an entry to the club. That was the only glitch. When I went up in the afternoon it was closed and in the morning I was told that it only opens at 2pm - go figure. Next visit will be back.

  Relaxing

  This hotel is really out of the way, and we enjoyed its secluded nature. We dined in the hotel and enjoyed the western options of pizza and pasta. Next time we'd like hot chocolate and ice water to be available.

  Relaxing stay in a sleepy part of Tianjin

  It took 40 minutes by taxi from Tianjin Railway Station, for us this was not a problem as we wanted a hotel to stay in as a family. The indoor play area for our son is superb, the outdoor playground with a sand pits is a child's heaven. The breakfast Buffett caters for Western and Chinese tastes. The swimming pool is a nice way to start and end the day with a nice swim. We stayed here a few times now.

  Check out service needs improvement

  I have stayed at this property a few times as it is fairly close to TJU where I have business. I would have given it a 5 star review except it took 30 minutes to check out and resulted in me being late for my meeting. This was not the first time and I lodged a complaint with front desk manager Yuan who promised to be better next time (will see). Otherwise good gym and pool and excellent breakfast.
