  upscale resort in Haitang Bay

  Newly built and well maintained resort with outdoor pools and panoramic heated roof pool. Greeted by GRO Jenny, the hotel offers a perfect gateway experience. The lounge is best ever even in mainland China. Very few guests, quite the opposite from Marriott.

  Family friendly resort w/ great suites

  Amazing new resort in Sanya, really went above and beyond the usual Crowne Plaza requirements. Bulgari amenities are given as a welcome gift, and apparently two lucky guests would be selected to receive extravagant welcome gift though I was unforche not selected. I would recommend the ocean suite which has a nice bathtub on the balcony, a bit pricy as I was asked for 1,800rmb for the upgrade yet worth it for a night. Special shout out to Tara as she was hospitable to me throughout the stay, answering my questions on the WeChat, and take care of my missing points after the stay. The resort has A LOT of kids staying here as all kids activities are free and plentiful. More of a family oriented resort for those who are seeking this kind.

  The Best Crowne Plaza Hotel in the World

  What a wonderful hotel! Despite I'm a Spire Ambassador of IHG, compare with my other chain hotel elite statuses: Hyatt Globalist and Marriott Titanium, I have to admit I'm not a fan of IHG due to its limited elite members' benefits. But after a two nights trip with my family, I totaly became a fan of Crowne Plaza Haitang Bay, and would like to recommend all of you to stay here, especially with your kids. I'm pretty sure it is the best Crowne Plaza in the world. My hospitable guest relationship manager Lisa contacted me one day before my arrival, and kindly informed me all information I need to know regarding this hotel especially the activities for kids. I have read a lot of articles on the internet before my arrvial, however, my family and I still got a big surprise when we entered our room. Not speak of Its cozy room with a wonderful sea view, my room was well decorated with flowers and balloons. This hotel is famous for its various activites for kids, coincidencely the day we have arrived was Halloween, therefore all activities were Halloween theme. Thanks to the great efforts of passionate staff, my daugther had a unforgetable Halloween Parade. For us, as parents, it is also very intertesting to see 20+ kids shouted "Trick and Treat" at the hotel lobby. The F&B is also very nice. No need to come out, I trust you could get all your need in this hotel. Thanks to Lisa and the staff of the Halloween Parade (sorry I don't know your names). Your passion and hospitality gives us a memoriable holiday. I have made another booking in next summer, couldn't wait to see you again soon.

  not right for me but...

  I arrived as a solo traveller looking forward to a week of laying on the beach and swimming in the ocean. Upon arrival I was informed that the government did not allow any swimming or beach activity, so no time in the water or on the beach was possible. Obviously I was not happy and the management at the hotel really we out of their way to help me out. They allowed me out of my reservation after one night amd helped me book another hotel that suited my vacation needs. While this hotel was not right for me, I still give it 5 stars for the great job the manager and staff did in helping me out. This is a very family friendly hotel, tons of kids activities, beautiful pool areas... but just not great for the solo traveller looking to lie on the beach sipping cold drinks all day.

  Perfect Stay

  My stay at this hotel was just perfect. The room was clean and comfortable with a great balcony and the ocean view. I ordered room service twice and I just love the burger! The beach was not very developed but only hotel guests had the access so it was not busy. Representative Lisa was particularly helpful and made the stay very enjoyable!
