  Exceeds my expectations

  I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel when I traveled on business to Kitchener. Rooms were a good size and very clean. Staff super friendly and helpful.Recommended especially for families as there was a large kids play area. Also very central so easy to walk to great shops and restaurants.

  Business travel

  I recently stayed one night at the Crowne Plaza in Kitchener when I was visiting for business purposes. I made a reservation on-line and had to call the toll free number to correct a double booking. This proved to be a lengthy process and involved more than one phone call but managed to confirm my reservation for only one room for one night. I booked a room with a king bed and was told that I was upgraded to a room with a king bed (?) Upon entering the room, I was surprised that the room was not very large and well used. Bed was very comfortable and washroom clean, but was more than suitable for one night. Parking was questionable. The parking ramp was across an alley and open to public foot traffic. I did not see any security and was concerned when I saw groups of teens gathered in the corners of the parking facility. Breakfast was great but the dining room was very warm!

  Hockey tournament weekend

  This hotel is pretty great. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. Bathroom is cute but could use some more counter space. The hot tub is huge and warm but not all of the blowers work. The pool is cool as there are windows that you can see people through underneath. There is a bowling ally which costs extra and a mini put that basic and also cost extra. The exercise room is pretty good. There is a sauna but I didn't go in it this time. There is also a game room but the boys were disappointed because some of the games didn't work. We had breakfast in the restaurant and it was good. Didn't eat lunch or dinner there. There is an area in the lobby where you can sit. We were sitting there playing cards and had some water and pop on the table. One of the staff came and said we weren't allowed to have outside drinks there. We thought that was odd! There is a parking garage. The exit is not well placed and I mostly had to get out of the car to put the ticket in the machine. The front door where you pull in could be bigger.

  comfortable rooms

  The hotel is nicely decorated, and conveniently located on the main street. The parking is a little weird, down a lane way that separates the parking garage from the hotel lobby. The check in is efficient and the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are sized adequately, with the usual expected amenities (cable tv, free wifi, microwave, mini fridge, etc.). The beds are comfortable, which is always the main thing. Street noise in the morning (and church bells/chimes on Sundays) can be a little bothersome, but not unexpected for a King St. location. It's a bargain in the off-season, but I'd hate to pay the full price shown on the back of the door.

  Superb Hospitality

  I would like to thank Sam for her kindness. I expressed my desire to visit India and she prepared a list of best places to visit in India for me. I was surprised to see such hospitality in North America. I will visit again soon. Cheers
