  Exceeded my expectations

  I made a last minute reservation because the Marriott property next door could not honor my reservation. Crowne Plaza wowed me with very understanding front desk staff who got me on a quiet floor. My room rate included breakfast and was a very good value. Give this hotel a shot. Staff goes above and beyond. I'll consider more IHG properties after this stay.

  Beautiful hotel!

  Our stay at the Crowne Plaza in Danbury was very pleasant. We decided to check out this location after I had received a flyer with a promotional sale on it at work. We were NOT disappointed! The room was clean and spacious and all appliances/bathroom was up to date and functioning. The elevator was quick and clean. The staff were all very friendly and we were happy with our complimentary breakfast. We will be staying here in the future!

  It got better as the trip went on...

  Upon arrival the front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel lobby was gorgeous. After getting into the elevator things started to go a bit south. After arriving on our floor, the scent of some type of potpourri was overpowering. I covered my face and ran to find our room. Now I know we were traveling in January, but the temperature was cranked up and it felt like a sauna. The thermostat said it was 78 degrees! We managed to straighten that out quickly though. The room was pretty clean, but there were stray hairs in the shower which was very off putting. We stayed here so my husband and daughter could attend a concert in NYC without staying in the city. I stayed back at the hotel for the night. The ice machine was either broken or empty, so I used the vending machine next to it. I ordered room service which was delicious. However there were only 3 gluten free menu options. The beds were comfortable and the floor was quiet. We asked for a low level room and were put on the 4th floor. Our breakfast was free because we are members of loyalty program. It was a very large buffet available. Again not too many gluten free options. My daughter and husband really enjoyed it. There was another guest upset about his bill and was sitting in the lobby talking very loudly for the entirety of our meal. You really cant beat the cost of the stay, but definitely some kinks to work out.

  So polite and interested in your comfort

  The room was comfortable and clean. Pool was awesome. Breakfast was great. Loved the bacon. All the staff is friendly. This was the second time I was there this week and they just make staying there comfortable. Amy at the front desk was a sweetheart.

  Friendly hotel

  We had the pleasure of staying in this facility during the covid-19 crisis. The young gentleman at the time of check-in was very pleasant, imediately pointing out to us the sanitizer station for our protection. He was also very helpful assisting us in finding a place that delivered us dinner. The checkout in the am was equally pleasant. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and well equipped. This hotel is definitely on the top of my list when in Danbury.
