  BELLO HOTEL

  Este hotel es muy bonito, con habitaciones muy amplias y con toda la comodidad y limpieza!! Tiene varios restaurantes y la comida es muy rica. Se encuentra pegada a la peatonal en donde están los grandes shoping

  Suficiente

  Hotel muy bien situado. Son muy serviciales en recepción pero para mi gusto la recepción el salón es pequeño no es un hall lujoso. Habitaciones grandes y con cama grande. Desayuno bufete muy amplio en diferentes tipos de comida.

  Enjoy the stay here

  Hotel is located center of downtown of Chongqing, Jiefangbei. Room is spacious and facilities in room made comfortable to use. Plenty of electric sockets to use and no need convertor. Room can also open window for let airflow in to room. Bathroom are separate shower and tub. So cleaned room. Breakfast was delucious/variety of local Asian food also western. Staffs are very nice and service great. I especially complement Henry Xue at Front Desk who Hospitality help and recommend places must visit while in this city. The Door girl(not remember her name) was so kind to take care our luggage and get taxi back to airport. Definitely recommend for travel this city. And I will come back.

  The Fine Touches that Made My Day

  I arrived at Crowne Plaza Chongqing Jiefangbei at 1.30am amid 7 degrees cold winter in December. I was freezing cold as I came from a tropical country and I was hungry. I must thank the staff of Crowne Plaza for making my day with its fine touches. I went to my room and the room heater was already on and warm. I was also pleasantly to find a nicely decrorated plate with 3 artisan tasty biscuits and 2 chocolates. I am deeply appreciative of these warm gestures. My love did not end there. The shower heats up quickly so I was able to get a good bath and sleep by 3am. The warm surprises did not end there. The breakfast was top notch with interesting local dishes like You Tiao and the rich selection of bread spread and a coffee machine that produces very aromatic coffee. The perfect start continues with excellent location for shopping, the 6 lifts in the hotel that shortens the wait, well furnished gym, a staff that went an extra mile to help me book a tennis coaching session and land tour, and friendly staff especially the chambermaids who greets me warmly when I leave my room everyday. I also love the giant cute Teddy Bear in the lounge who sat next to me when I was having dinner alone. To top it off, to my pleasant surprise the hotel also have a live singing duet that performs every evening. The Filipino couple are friendly and sings amazingly well: Fine touches in this hotel that made my stay warm amid the cold winter. Loved to be back again.

  Marred only by stomach ache

  Spent two nights here, sadly must have eaten something that disagreed and rather curtailed my activities. However, the executive lounge is terrific and stocked with a variet of drinks and snacks to suit all tastes. I was pleased to see they have a GM in Sharon Fraser who is very much a visible presence keeping staff on their toes. She even offered to share her lunch with me but initially our plan had been to go elsewhere later for dinner. In our chat I happened to bemoan the lack of pork breakfast sausages in Chinese hotels (chicken??? whoever thought that was acceptable shouod be shot!) and she said they used to do a Cumberland but as foreigners weren't allowed back into China they were simply cooking them and throwing them away because the Chinese don't like them. Imagine my surprise the next morning when I discovered she had sent the head chef out to get pork bangers, three of them and they were HUGE! It could have been awkward as my appetite is not large and I had visions of having to conceal a sausage to secrete onto the plane to Nanning later that day. Thankfully my Chinese travelling companion not only has a good appetite but also likes western food and she demanded one of them. Sharon deserves a special mention not just for that but also for being that rarely seen animal - a GM on the prowl. Absolutely superb hotel and if eer I am back in Chongqing........
