  Great example of good staff and a good hotel

  I stayed at Crown Suites for one week whilst in Uganda as part of a back packing holiday. I heard about the hotel whilst in the city; Kampala (about 3 hours away). I thought it must be good if the locals some 300 miles away had heard of it and I was right. This hotel is fantastic and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. You get a real feel for Uganda as a country from this hotel. The staff will literally bend over backwards to help you. The hotel is not far from the Gorilla trails which is something I was dying to do. After speaking to the staff and being unsure how to organise it, they actually arranged to get me there! Excellent service. The roads are a bit of road style leading up to the hotel but it is all part of the experience. And lets be honest here, what can the hotel do about roads that don't belong to them!? The grounds are beautiful, the food is gorgeous, the rooms are clean, comfortable and reasonably priced and the service is great. I have absolutely no complaints about this hotel. An excellent example on how to make guests feel welcome. It is just a shame this hotel is not recognised with travel agencies when you are trying to book trails and activities in African countries as it is absolutely perfect for this.   "Home Away From Home"

  We stayed for over 2 weeks and were treated very graciously. The staff remembered the way we liked our coffee and even prepared foods that we liked for break fast. It was our first trip to Uganda away from our home country in USA and we felt very safe, comfortable and appreciated at this beautiful hotel. The views were amazing and the grounds were very well kept. The cleaning staff were very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who wants to feel at home even so far away from home.

  Quiet place to be and good customer care

  While visiting Mbale with my brother, we had some time to stay at Crown Suites. The place is cool and nice to stay. The food is good, Wi-Fi is available. The room are well kept with a touch of expertise. It also has other facilities like conference facilities.

  Simple, Pleasent Service for Peaceful Travellers

  Was there for a single night, its a good place for a wary traveler needing silence good WiFi to complete a few email and simple assistance from the crew there. There is only as much needed for a business trip.

  Overall Quite A Good Place

  (I am writing this from the perspective of a North American traveller) I have now stayed in this place twice and overall I would rate it as quite good. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the bathroom at least works and the shower has hot (OK, at least decently warm) water (not always the case in Africa in my experience). We ate breakfast there daily which was basic but quite decent. Fresh pineapple every day while I was there, and Ugandan pineapple will spoil you for pretty well any other. One small thing for big guys like me (i.e. at least ~511 tall) the beds in this place, in common with most of the few I have slept in in Africa, are only about 6 tall and have hard head and footboards (which serve to spread out the mosquito netting). So you will end up somehow sleeping diagonally on it to get a decent nights sleep. Be warned.
