  Good furniture and appliances, but the building inside felt like a cheap motel

  Arrived and located (4) spiders in the beds (on the sheets and pillow cases. The doors, wood trim, and walls reminded me of a cheap motel. Location on a golf course fairway is a great view, but work needs to be done before you stay here.

  Good Trip!!!

  Our family has been to this resort before. We are pleased with the service we receive. From Jessica at check-in, to Kelly and Wilton in maintenance as well as Merita and the housekeeping ladies, everyone wanted to make our stay a good experience.

  Wonderful Customer Service

  We checked in VERY late at night after a long drive, and had to call the after hours number. They answered immediately and helped us get into our villa. The 2 bedroom villa itself was a little outdated, but it was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We found out the 2nd day that they were about to remodel our unit, but we certainly never felt like we were put out. The amenities were lovely, but the customer service was particularly great. We bought them all a dozen handmade donuts on our checkout day because we appreciated all of there assistance during our stay. We will definitely stay there again, just because we know the remodel project is nearly done and the people themselves were beyond compare. We stay at a lot of timeshares, hotels, and villas every year, this was our favorite for the atmosphere.

  Visiting Grandma's Place

  Well, I've stayed at many different places in my travels, good and bad, With that being said, I would say that the Hickory is in need of some fix up but doesn't go without saying that the hospitality was great and the efforts of the staff are in affect. The fact about this place is that it is very old but is in the middle of refurbishment. Hickory Hill dates back to the 70's I believe in a once "Camelot era" when the golf course surrounding the townhouses was shiny and new just as was the townhouses. The rooms were all clean and in working order, even the fireplace. Had some dank odor when first entering so we fixed it up with good smelling candle. Out of preference, I changed the air filter for my peace of mind. Other than that, it was a quiet place set in the wooded area with other homes in the distance. The pools were all kept up and clean but no hot tub just a kiddie pool. Bed was slightly soft. In all, it wasn't the worst place I've stayed just so so.

  Not working shower and toilet

  Upon arrival to the 2-bed/bathroom unit, the toilet and the shower was not working in one of the bathrooms. There was no water in the tank of the toilet. Turning on the knob to fill the tank with water didn't work; I filled the tank with water and flushing the toilet afterwards. After a few times, I was able to fix the toilet. I couldn't fix the shower. It was late at night on a Saturday when we arrived and I didn't want to bother maintenance personnel. Shower was repaired next day when I called the office. Prior to renting out the suites, personnel should have made sure the facilities are in working order.
