  Hotel de Gran Lujo en Australia

  Lo tiene todo, desde ambiente natural unico, casino, cines, plazas comerciales, cercania a hoteles, aeropuerto, tienes todo lo que deseas tener en pais tan exotico como Asutralia. Recomiendo este gran hotel, tanto para negocios, como para relajarse o viajar en familia.

  Major let down

  Horrible experience here...booked a top suite and it was severely outdated but I could easily have forgiven this, what really killed my view of this place was being charged a $2000 security deposit to then not be allowed access to room charge for in-house movies or any drinks or food simply because we supplied a debit card not a credit card.... we are very far from broke and to be treated like scum simply because we dont use credit cards was disgusting....staff even spoke to us like we were unworthy of being there...you have taken an extra $2000 bond on top of our $1200 room and to not be able to order drinks or food was so wrong...in comparison we then left and stayed at crown towers (room was fresh and clean) where our bond was a quarter of Metropol and we were treated like valued customers and received all normal treatment you would expect from a high end resort, were allowed to order drinks, book a $120 cabana bed by the pool and order food to our hearts content with no dramas to charge to the room. Metropol was just wrong.

  So many issues

  We paid for early check in when we arrived at just after 12 pm for our confirmed and paid early check in that our room wasnt ready And that this wasnt a certain and that we wouldnt be charged if we couldnt check in early I had to argue the point and also point out the tired two year old who naps at that time and the specific reason I paid for an early check in To rub salt into the process the couple next to us were just turning up early and they asked could they check in early and were told no problems Also just FYI you then double charged me for early check in and I had to have it removed from the bill true story couldnt make it up I was less than pleased and it was the duty manager so what could I do Not a good start (Also was advised by another manager I was correct and that was a guarantee) Our room of course was then 219 Above the laundry room facing the foyer and with a constant view of staff smoking After the second morning with the linen truck awaking me with its reversing I had to move rooms After explaining everything we were moved 6 rooms away We had to complain again and were finally moved to 303 your concierge were brilliant here which is why its not the lowest rating as was Lucy A smaller room with some damp issues on the shower roof We had some further niggling issues but all in all things were well Then we had to stay an extra night due to our renovation not being completed We asked could we book at the crown direct rate and just keep the booking No we were told but if I booked online I could just keep the same room So off I went to do it myself....WEIRD After that I rang guest services to be told front desk would need to call back to confirm it was possible to stay in the same room !?!? I said they already had said that was all good The lady wanted to argue that point I hung up Eventually I spoke to Lucy about this and she was fantastic and booked in the crown direct rate at the price I was able to get it at the day before when I spoke to your staff originally Who said they couldnt provide the crown direct rate Weird And then to top it off we were Told At Nobu if our crown rewards card was loaded to the room we would benefit from the discount Only to be told upon checkout that this wasnt the case Also we were charged on our bill for a coffee and coke from crown towers pool which I queried and was removed and an OJ from the minibar (after checkout) that we never consumed that Im yet to get a refund

  Great for a work trip

  Really nice hotel with spacious and clean rooms. I dont gamble much but it is fun to go down and watch others gambling. There is a big screen in the casino which shows lots of sports, for the big games there is an awesome atmosphere.

  Family staycation

  4 night staycation. It started off on a not very good note.. on checking in we were charged a $500 bond (just over $100 a night), now I don't know if this was a new thing or not.. but we were a little shocked! As this was our saved money for food and drinks just gone in one hit! So it put a bit of a dampener on the start of our holiday to be honest. Facilities were a but of luxury.. the view from our room was river, city and pools.. absolutely Amazing!. Loved the bathroom! Double beds were a little squishy for two adults, but fine for two kids minus the nit picking at each other..haha.. TV was OK, no free movies just free to air channels.. so nothing special. Free WiFi was basic, but we were on holiday so it wasn't a big issue. Free ice for the ice buckets was great. Easy access to pools and lobby area via the glass lifts. We took snacks and drinks as we were there for nights, but the mini bar was well stocked.. fridge not very cold though. Pool and outside facilities was great for our little family. We quickly learnt to get down there early and we basically had the pool to ourselves before the book readers and sunbathers tool up residence on the front lounge pools.. (if we got there late we did not get a good view to supervise the kids) Overall we had a lovely relaxing staycation and got a good deal with breakfast, bottle of wine and valet parking included. So shop around for the best deal!
