  Check room price

  A good hotel in a great location with good food an friendly staff. No complaints whatsoever but double check price when booking. The "headline" price of a room is for one person only. My wife and I booked and paid for a double room for one night but where charged a further £35.00 on leaving "because there were two of us". This is far from clear on the website and the owner happily admitted that we were not the first ones by far to be misled

  Superb lunch

  Called in for lunch while staying nearby. Been many times and always reliable. This time we had the hot seafood platter. Generous portions and superb quality. Real ale superb - hard to choose between wee mcash and summerisle.Friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommend

  This makes up for not going abroad

  Went for 2 nights mid September and have to give the hotel 100% on all aspects or maybe cut it to 98% if I was picky. Room was booked direct with hotel and we were in the top floor harbour facing and room was of decent size larger than expected, bathroom was also large. Check in went smooth even though the pub was busy and all Covid rules for then were very strictly adhered to. Good view over the harbour and very good meals and terrific atmosphere inside. Excellent staff and very attentive. You could have meals in the bar / or go through the back to the main dining area. Good breakfast and even though you could sit outside for meals or late drinks it was still respectfully quiet at night. This hotel was a lot more popular than the others and it is no wonder it gets booked up very quickly. I would love to come back here again for a Christmas or New Year shindig but suspect it would need boked about 3 years in advance with it being so popular. I will be back here again in the near future Also parking very easy just yards away

  They claim this is chicken breast Look at the photo and make your own mind up. I pointed out to the older waitress with the glasses and said that this was unacceptable and I had accidentally swallowed a bone which is why I only order chicken breast. She said this was chicken breast - judge for yourselves!

  Great service for glutenfree

  Visited for lunch and was really impressed with the service. Cleary very covid safe, and the staff were extremely helpful and flexible in respect of glutenfree options. The Orkney mussels were superb!
