Choose a different place to stayI travel almost every week, and Im not fancy - I will stay in modest accommodations. I was very displeased by this facility, and had I not been staying with another coworker who booked this lodging, I would have left. During my stay a LOT of snow fell, with ample warning, and NOTHING was plowed or even shoveled. I dragged my suitcase through foot high drifts and six or so inches of snowfall to my car. Everything in the building is extraordinarily dated. The towels smelled of bleach, so they were clean, but extremely yellowed. The carpet was threadbare and dusty. The sink, outside of the bathroom next to the door, was scratched and stained all over the bowl. Hard to tell if it was clean and stained or just dirty. I did not shower during my stay because the tub, while probably clean, had adhesive grip strips that were filthy and stained and an open drain. The radiator was an open grate, missing a cover, and full of dust, and did not have a temperature control - the heat was either on or off and had to be adjusted frequently. The internet was spotty, but available. There was advertised continental breakfast, and we were told about it at the desk, but neither morning I looked was there anything set up. I was there in the middle of the advertised breakfast hours. The restaurant portion of the dining available was a small room with several tables in it. The lounge area was better, and seemed to be a local hangout. The food there was good and the staff serving us were very nice.

Poor Service, Poor MaintenanceWe booked two nights over Memorial Day Weekend based on Tripadvisor ratings and the fact that there was a pool and a restaurant. We were extremely disappointed for the following reasons: 1- The pool and hot tub were down for maintenance and closed - in three days we saw no maintenance staff working on the pool or hot tub. 2- We also picked this hotel due to the fact that there was a restaurant on site. The Restaurant was closed Friday 5/25 and Saturday 5/26. 3- The hot breakfast was scrambled eggs and poor quality sausage patties. 4- The drain on the bathtub did not work and it took 20 minutes to drain from a shower. 5- The room was not clean. We went to make a cup of coffee and found a used coffee filter in the coffee maker. We will never stay at this hotel again.

No complaintsWe were greeted nicely by a young lady at front desk, who checked us in quickly and provided us with facility information. Our room was located on the ground floor first room from entry. This was appreciated as we were accompanied by our two Golden Retrievers. A very large grassy area behind the motel provided an excellent place to exercise the dogs. The room was clean, bed comfortable, everything you hope for in an economy hotel. We assume the room is regularly assigned to guests with pets and it was necessary to open the window briefly to air out the excessive air freshener they use. That is not intended as a negative. The breakfast buffet is no more than should be expected- bad scrambled eggs and sausage, fruit, waffles, and dry cereal.

The Only Reason Our Stay was Poor & Not Terrible was They Let My Daughter Have Her CatWhere do I begin? I try to see the best in things. The beds were of good quality and the bedding was nice. I came to stay a week during the spring. The noise level was TERRIBLE. There was a homeless family next door to me with a crib & a crying infant 23/7. People walking dogs went by barking all hours. I am a counselor and had hoped to talk to clients on the phone but it was too noisy for that. In the week I stayed there the pool was open 1 day. The Jacuzzi never opened. I recently found out they'd had a scare in January with 4 ppl getting Legionnaires disease from it and it did not meet state quality control guidelines. There was a plumbing problem during our entire stay. The toilet was clogged so they gave us a plunger to keep. The tub drained slowly. There was a very nice shower curtain. We got a towel each and they were never replaced. Housekeepers were for the most part in the parking lot in a pickup truck and made a HUGE amount of noise yelling and laughing VERY early in the morning. RUDE one-on-one refusing towels, soap, etc. They did give my daughter a few coffee packs for the in-room coffee maker. That was generous of them. The breakfast disappears in a rush and is substandard. Grab teabags for later as if you get there after 8 what is left is stale bread, bagels with actual green mold on them, BAD cheap sausage patties, stale danish, and others of the same caliber. Eggs are frozen, scrambled baked in a large industrial pan. There are waffles that run out within 15 minutes. The coffee is W E A K. Your safest bet is Tea Bags. There is honey. That is nice. The front desk staff is just awful. Rude, curt, unhappy persons with one at the desk being sociable and kind. The restaurant was of low quality. Paid $18 for their ribs one night and they were heated up from yesterday with an average sauce. When we got back our room was like a tenement building in NYC. Babies crying nonstop, people in and out 24/7 to smoke, argue, walk dogs, and/or carry on noisily outside in the parking lot. Note: get an upper floor room as those are rented by the week to local construction workers who tend to use rooms for sleep. The bar had Kareoke and a LOT of local people with poor social skills. Many got rooms over the weekend to drink and party. NOT a normal Marriot Hotel but a dumpier, local, vomity version of such. The rooms are stained with a thin carpet. Not plush or impressive. An endnote. I do not live far away but had never been there before. I was supposed to stay for 10-days but they "booked my room" after 7 with no notice so we had to find a room elsewhere for 3-nights. Our next 3 nights were quiet and good so it's not the neighborhood - it's the hotel itself that's mismanaged. There's not a reason to ever go back. Done.

HorribleIf I could give this place a no star review, I would. The lady at the desk, Jen, I believe was her name was unbelievable rude when I was checking in. Not to mention her appearance and attitude towards myself and other guests were very unprofessional. The young gentleman who worked overnights seemed like an absolute creep. Should not be working in a hospitality environment if youre not very hospitable. Continental breakfast the next morning was very bare & ran out of food fast. Door to the front office remained closed and same gentlemen who worked the night shift ignored my request for more eggs/sausage to be put out as there were none up there by 6:45am. I was told that his relief would take care of it when she got in as he was sitting there on a tablet. Went to the bar the night I got there, and the lady who claimed she was the general manager was beyond drunk in the lounge. If youre going to get absolutely wasted like that and yell at your employees, I suggest running a business is not the right job for you. She sat there and talked down about her employees to her group of friends. How was she made to be a general manager with an awful attitude like that? Thats just an unacceptable way to run a hotel. Getting drunk at your place of employment, off the clock or not, is very unprofessional. The one person who I was really impressed with was the head bartender the night I was there, Reba. My drinks & food came quickly, was never neglected when I had an empty glass, and she had a great personality. I was supposed to stay for 3 nights to visit family, I checked out the next morning and went to the Americinn across the street. The extra $20 a night I was paying was definitely worth it. The beds at the Americinn were actually made, the rooms were clean way past CrookstonInn cleanliness standards. Not impressed.
