  Great place

  We stayed for a week and loved the rooms, breakfast and ski locker facilities. At the foot of pradalago gondola so perfect to get up onto the mountains. Madonna is a tiny town so nothing is too far from anything.

  Perfect ski trip hotel

  This hotel is perfectly located, a few meters from the Pradalago ski lift. The ski locker room was very good and easily accessible. Breakfast was good and the staff was kind enough to open half an hour earlier on our last day because of our early departure. Bar and lobby service was excellent and everything was very clean. The rooms were small but clean and comfortable. The only drawback was the lack of soundproofing. Overall a fantastic hotel, will definitely want to stay here again.

  Great Family Trip

  Having just returned from this lovely hotel after a Christmas holiday with my wife and our two children I can say that it is a lovely place to stay. The rooms are good and clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are typical, small but with all facilities. The breakfast is superb with some fantastic pastries along with a great savoury selection, fresh Orange juice you make yourself in a machine and a juicer if you fancy carrot juice or something else. The bar is well stocked and the selection of antipasti put out in the early evening is great, we sometimes ate so much we couldn't manage a full meal. The ski locker is easily accessible from outside with boot warmers for all so all your equipment is warn and dry in the morning. The position of the hotel is one of the best in town with the Pradalago gondola 50 yards away and either the Piste to the bottom of that or the Belveriere piste 50 yards the opposite direction from the hotel giving you as near to ski to door as you will find in Madonna. You are also right in the heart of the village. All in all a great holiday in a lovely hotel, in a great resort and I would recommend it to anybody

  Great Hotel, FANTASTIC staff

  Firstly I would like to say how impressed we were with the staff at the hotel, they were so friendly and smiley and always happy to help, they made our stay very pleasant and i would like to thank them very much for this as nothing was too much trouble. From the bar staff to reception to the cleaners everyone was brilliant! The hotel itself I am guessing has recently been refurbished as it was beautiful and modern and clean. the only thing missing was a real fire in the loby. The bedrooms were IMMACULATE! not a spec of dust in sight! the cleaning staff must work VERY hard! Our bedroom wasn't one of the modern refurbished rooms, however it was the cleanest room we have EVER stayed in when skiing (we go each year) so we were more than happy The breakfast was great, (pancakes and nutella were my favourite) so much choice and I loved the freshly squeezed orange juice machine. Bar prices were reasonable too (love an Aperol Spritz at 5euros each) I think the only 2 negatives I can say is that you have to pay extra to use the spa facility, which doesnt have a pool or jacuzzi. It is 10 euros per person per day, or 35 euros per person for the week. We couldnt justify this cost for a sauna and steam room so went without which was a shame as we do like a relax after a hard day boarding. Also the hotel is only as quiet as the people above and next door to you, thankfully our neighbours were quiet, however the people above liked to get up at 6:50am and walk round in boots for 30 minutes, not the hotels fault, i think it happens in every ski hotel as everyone wears boots due to the weather, think i would use ear plugs next time

  Great location staff friendly but basic rooms

  This is our second visit to Madonna and also to this hotel. We had initially enquired about the renovated rooms with new bathrooms but were quoted another 300 euros extra to our Crystal ski package which we did not follow up. We came with friends this time who had booked as a last minute holiday and only triple room remained but no extra cost to them. Consequently they got room 210 a very large triple room on the corner of the hotel with fabulous slope views and a bathroom with a bath . We got room 211 a very small room with a tiny shower and a view mainly of the underside of the fire escape stairs and no window, just a door so quite dark. Unfortunately we also had 2 nights of disturbed sleep due to very noisy guests next door. We do appreciate the rooms generally here are small but were disappointed with ours this time especially as repeat customers. We did ask to change but they could only offer us a slightly smaller room with bath or a newer style which did not have any view at all- both were going to be extra costs, we found this very unfair especially as one of the rooms offered was the same room we had last year. The management did not appear to consider the reason to change our room would improve our overall stay and we felt the extra cost imposed was not acceptable especially as both the rooms overall were no real improvement on room 211. The reception staff here, especially Laura are very helpful and friendly. They reserved us tables at many local restaurants giving discounts -so remember to ask for these. The hotel is fantastically located near the town and the ski lift. Overall I think the rooms are basic and small but exceptionally clean. Definitely more plug points need to be added (our kettle had to be plugged in on the floor near the door as that was the only free plug point!) Not all are provided with kettles but just ask reception and they will provide . Fridges also dont seem to be provided as standard but outside balcony is just as cold. As other reviewers have suggested please please get rid of those bidets and put in bigger showers. The breakfast area has been revamped since last year and offers a great choice of hot and cold options and the panoramic window of the slopes is a great start to the morning. Overall good hotel location but very small rooms. The 4 star status must be because of the location. As we found with our booking experience compared to our friends it seems to be a lottery as to what standard of room you are allocated which we found frustrating. I suggest requesting particular rooms if you have certain requirements. They will do their best to accommodate but prior notice is advantageous.
