  Great Family Hotel

  Hotel Cristallago has a great relaxed family atmosphere. The staff were super friendly as was the Japanese Akita "Kira". The rooms were simple but clean, beds comfortable. We had our teenage son in the room with us, which was a little bit of a squeeze, so more cupboard room or a drying room would have been appreciated, after a wet days skiing, but the service was impeccable nonetheless. Breakfast was a simple affair but well presented and tasty. Dinners are local, simple and traditional and clearly they have an Italian cook, as everything is superb. It may not be a five star hotel, but you will go a long way to find a family that do everything simple, but simply perfect in every way. Our exchange rate in not very favourable at present and yet we still found excellent value for money. Ski slopes and bus/shuttles are all close by, as is shopping & restaurants. Even the -7 chill couldn't dampen our spirits.

  Just a one night stay

  We stayed here for just one night - a Thursday. From the railway station in Seefeld it takes about 10 minutes to walk - although all hotel does advertise that they will pick you up from the station if you give them 24 hours notice. The person at reception (we think the owner) spoke good English and we were soon on our way to our room. Our room was at the front of the hotel, facing a road and a lake - although when we were there it was frozen and covered in snow. Some rooms had balconies. Ours did not. The room was clean and basic. Maybe a little old fashioned. Early the following morning there was some noise from traffic as the rooms are not double glazed. When rating this hotel I had to bear in mind that it is only a 3 star - many Seefeld hotels are 4* or even 5*. We got the impression many people stay here for several nights and also have an evening meal. Indeed, the Cristallago's own website says that, during winter, the rate includes an evening meal. We booked through a third party website and paid almost 40% more for bed and breakfast than if we had booked directly with the Cristallago and we would have had an evening meal included. Breakfast is promoted as being fulfilling and hearty. Compared to many establishments it is quite limited. The person in the breakfast area spoke no English. Many Seefeld hotels are 2,3 or SIX times more expensive than the Cristallgo so bear this in mind when deciding where to book. There's certainly nothing drastically wrong with it - just a little old fashioned and basic.

  Excellent stay

  Had a lovely stay and the family and staff who run the hotel are very helpful. They couldn't do enough for us and even dropped us and all our luggage off at the station when we were leaving. The view of the mountains from our room was stunning (204). The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. Breakfast was great, a lot of variety and dinner was delicious! For a warm homely stay, Cristallago is your place! Thanks for everything, Steph and Phil!

  Awesome hotel

  Awesome hotel, awesome people (the family and all the people who work there). Every year we stay some days there. In winter you can see the frozen lake in front of your balcony and in summer you can have the fun of swimming. The hotel is renovated and affords new betting and memory foam matresses and pillows. Thank you for your hospitality!!

  Really great stay!

  A very pleasant, quiet hotel that is also very close to town. Really enjoyed it here and would stay again. One of the main points is how easy it is to walk to town center for dinner and how easy it is to get to the ski areas.
