Nice location, place not for demanding clients

This is a nicely located place with a long way of improvements ahead of it. Its prices are high in comparison to what you get for it. Swimming pool should be rather called a pond as it is so tiny. Quite ridiculous. No gym. Basic eqiupment in the apartments. Such a poor internet connection that you can hardly use it, just a few tv channels. Only warm running water in the mornings. However, nice spa at a reasonable price. Not a place that you will miss.

    A potential not yet fulfilled

This one is hard to rate as its better then 3 stars but not quite the 4 stars it claims to be. Its a well presented modern resort, very clean and with very friendly staff. The facilities and food are good, but this is where some of the shortcomings can be spotted. We had apartment 421 on top floor - great views and for a couple it was massive. You could easily make two apartments out of that one. While clean and with sufficient facilities it was missing that cosy, home feeling. Sure, there's wood inserts and modern deco interior, but there's a bit too much dark tones to the deco. A few colored mountain related photographs or paintings would go a long way to give the rooms some life. Even the upstairs bedroom (although all white) was missing a bit of extra touch. I guess the size of the rooms does not help so you end up staring at bare walls for most of the time. The kitchen was very well equipped, but the sink and cooking area had no light, which forced us to use our mobiles when preparing food. I think that's just a bad miss, but it should be corrected. The upstairs game room again had no decoration and as much as we appreciated the space and size, you would not want to stay in that room for longer then a few minutes - its just too dark and not cosy. The balcony was awesome with a great view. As this resort is fairly new and still obviously a work in progress to some degree, there is one issue that everyone seems to laugh at and this has to change - no doubt about it. For a 50 to a 100 pound per night stay, there's absolutely no place to have towel tokens when going to a swimming pool. This would be ok in a 1-2 star resort for £10 a night where every penny counts, but having to exchange token for the towel and have your room number taken throws this assumption that every guest in the resort is a suspect thief. Sorry, this is not the standard across Europe, especially in a resort aiming as high as this one. At the end of the day, even if one guest decides to nick the 50 pence worth of a towel, then what's the loss ? ... Moving on, the pool area is nice as is the sauna. Its not the biggest of facilities and the gym would make a very good addition to this resort. There is an outside spa, but the designers missed the point here completely. Its got good views from it, but the water seems to be not warm enough to stay in there for longer then a few minutes. Also, its basically a hole in the ground on one of the terraces that can also be accessed by people walking from the car park. So, on couple of occasions I had fully clothed people walking past me as I was sitting the spa. Not exactly great when you want to relax. It would be nice to see the designers make the spa a bit more secluded with some sort of decking and decorations around it. The spa is also way too small - you can fit a couple in there but put 4 in , and you will be kicking each other. It seems that the outside spa is a bit of an afterthought, and it would probably be better to have it inside just by the glass window where the current relaxation area is. My mind is racing back to something like AHotel Piolets Park in Soldeau which got the size and design right (outside spa), So, its not a 4 star, but its got potential to get there and it will be largely down to the hotel management to get it there. One thing that I really did enjoy was the quietness and the next to the woods location. Sure, its a 15 minute walk to town, but I prefer it to be quiet and relaxing especially in the area of stunning natural beauty, such as this one.

    Winter trip & skiing

Good location outside the city (silent), hotel 2-3 year old, well equiped. Nice design of the rooms with mountain view Swimming pool, whirpool (outside), very small sauna (only 4 persons) Breakfeast - good service & wide offer Apart hotel located out side city center but only 5 minutes by car to Ski area (Szrenica/ Sudety Lift) Additional charges for parking which is quite expensive (140 PLN per 1 week) Lunch/ Dinner offer expensive (50 PLN per person) to compare with offers in the restaurants in the city.
