    Wonderful, traditional Greek hotel.

This hotel is just wonderful. There is no mistaking you are in Greece. If you want plush, shiny amenities, this hotel is not for you but if you are looking for a truly Greek experience this is the place. The decor is traditional Greek style, nothing flash but homely and authentic. The views from the hotel are truly breathtaking if you are lucky enough to get one of the sea facing rooms. We didn't at first but the hotel happily switched our rooms for us with no fuss. Wi-fi a little erratic, worked in our room for me but not my husband. The food is limited fair but deliciously home cooked and authentic (stuffed tomatoes and vine leaves just incredible) Self catering facilities are limited, no toaster and the nearest supermarket is quite a walk if your are carrying groceries. The stairs are many so if you have difficulties walking up LOTS of steps do not book this hotel. The views at the top are worth the climb though! There is not a lot of things going on close by so be prepared to make your own entertainment. The beach opposite is small but 10 minutes away is a lovely beach with free sun beds providing you buy something from the cafe. Service at your sun bed at no extra cost. The food is a bit hit and miss at the first restaurant but the other one is lovely. Supermarket limited stock. Bus ride into Agios Nicholias about £1.50 lovely place to spend the day. One down side, the nearby properties have dogs who bark incessantly from around 5.30am. Not the hotels fault but really, really annoying. All in all, Clean, authentic, friendly and extremely helpful staff. They even got the evening meal ready early for us as they didn't want us rushing our food before being picked up for the airport! So thoughtful! Would definitely recommend.

    Beautiful, quaint hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for a week in October 2019. The hotel consists of 37 self-catering apartments, although there are bed and breakfast and half board options. The apartment consists of a living/dining/kitchen room and a bedroom, as well as a bathroom and balcony. The room was clean. In terms of self-catering, the room has a kettle, cafetiere, two electric hob rings, a fridge and an assortment of pots, pans, dishes and cutlery. We only really ate breakfast and occasional lunches in the room, and it was fine for this. The only thing missing was a toaster. The hotel is set on a hill, with a beautiful view of Agios Nikolaos. There are several stairs to reach the apartment, so maybe not suitable for the infirm. We found the staff polite and friendly. As mentioned, we were room only, but we used the restaurant twice for dinner. There is a buffet for half board guests, but it had a limited selection, so we opted for the a la carte menu. It was nice, and the cocktails were excellent! There is a salt water pool onsite, with sun loungers for use. There are 2 beaches opposite, about 100m walk - a small pebbled beach and a larger sandy one. The larger beach has a small bar, sunloungers for hire and various watersports equipment. The hotel area is very quiet and relaxed. It is about a 15 minute walk to the nearest small shop. Agios Nikolaos is accessible by bus (though these seem to run to their own timetable!) or taxi for 10 euros. Overall the hotel is lovely - not fancy, but authentic feeling. We enjoyed our stay.

    quirky quiet charm

This is a bit of marmite resort - you will love it or hate it . The downside - the stair are indeed steep and plentiful - the accommodation is simple and the location is very quiet and isolated. but the upsides --- the stairs mean you climb up to the most stunning views - every morning we rose in time to watch a beautiful sunset over the mountains from our wonderful terrace . The isolated location meant it was quiet - which is a great gift for early birds like us who tend to rise and retire with the sun. Agios Nikolaus is a short taxi ride into town ( all the taxis of very high standard driven by extremely polite and friendly drivers ) the accommodation is spacious and characterful - good size bed , very clean , decent shower and a great sense of privacy . The breakfast was fresh , simple and varied . Staff friendly and helpful and the pool was quiet with plenty of shade . We loved it

    Traditional Greek style decor!

Hi, We stayed at the Hotel for a week and we are very happy with it. It is very clean and tidy. We stayed in October so we didn't have to use a/c but units are there. Personnel is very nice and helpful. We had room No 5 which is apartment luxury I believe? It has 2 rooms, kitchen and bathroom and lovely balcony. We had option B&B so had breakfast everyday. I must say this was the only disadvantage for us; not very tasty but in their defense this was the end of season and not so many people in so maybe that's why. We definitely will recommend this to friends and maybe come back one day.
