We spend three nights in this beautiful B&B...

We spend three nights in this beautiful B&B. Our room was spacious and spotless clean with a large up to date bathroom. A very pleasant location on the outskirts of Clifden. One of the prettiest gardens we saw during our stay in Ireland. The garden had the most lovely flowers. It was a refreshing view to wake up to in the morning. Breakfast included a great selection to suit everybodys taste. The host Mary was a very helpful and answered any of our travelling quieries, as we were not familiar with the area. Excellently maintained premises. I would highly recommend a stay here to those interested in nice gardens and we hope to return here again. I highly recommend to anyone visiting Clifden.

    A Really Warm Welcome

Cregg House is an excellent guest house situated just outside Clifden on the main Galway to Clifden road. The house which is amidst beautiful gardens sits on a hill affording great views across the wild Connemara landscape. The monument erected to celebrate the landing of Alcock and Brown can be seen in the distance from the front of the house. The house itself is very spacious and also very comfortable. Our room was a large room with a really comfy bed and great shower, all very clean. Lovely hosts and Mary cooks a really good breakfast with plenty of variety. Recommend this guest house as it is the best we have stayed in. You won't want to leave, we didn't.

Very good b&b with modern big rooms and superb choice of breakfast

The rooms are big and well equiped, with a walk-in douche, perfect working wifi in the rooms and coffee facilities. The B&B disposes of parking places on the premises and has a very beautiful garden. The choice of breakfast is huge as you can choose between e.g. full irish, salmon with white cheese, salmon with scrambled eggs, pancake with honey,... You are kindly asked to make your choice on the evening before. The breakfast room is big and you can eat at ease. First the host brings you a dish with fresh fruit and asks if you want a yoghurt. You may find cereals and orange juice at a table and different sort of marmelades on your table. The B&B is located at three kms of the city centre where you can find plenty of restaurants and three supermarkets. A place to return to.

    Beautiful B and B

Absolutely beautiful gardens, clean and comfortable rooms, wonderful breakfast and Mary and Hugh were both thoughtful hosts. The house is out of Clifden on N59, the main road from Galway. We came in by bus and so were overjoyed to discover that directly across the highway from Cregg House is an absolutely gorgeous walking/biking path into Clifden. We hired bikes for our stay and would start our day bicycling past the flowers, donkeys and lakes into town. Our room had a gorgeous view out over the bog. All of the B and Bs we stayed in were fine but this one was the best.
