Creag Mhor Lodge is a must!

To start off I would like to say that the amazing staff made us feel extremely welcome and were given with great service throughout, plus it is extremely clean and has a fantastic homely atmosphere with a wonderful setting on the edge of a stunning view with a beautiful Loch which is only around 70 metres away from the front door. We were served with great food and were made to feel very comfortable in a warm homely atmosphere. Also the lodge includes a large lounge/bar area with the 'Best' Scottish Whiskeys and Spirits, Caorunn is a gin which you must try, along with the finest whiskeys with lots to choose from. Local Attractions Get your walking boots on and go and explore. You can visit local waterfalls such as Inchree (5 minutes away) and Steall waterfall. The gondola up Ben Nevis is a must, something no one would ever forget. The peak shows a wonderful panoramic view of Fort William. Also take time to admire the talented mountain bikers who ride the natural and professional track of Ben Nevis. Also Fort Augustus ( the bottom of Loch Ness) is again only 1 hour away with a very scenic journey and a calming and beautiful location, word of advice... if you want to go on the boat trips you should book in advance! Eating Out? The home cooked food at the lodge is wonderful and fresh and made to order, but if you fancy a meal out have a look in the local area prior to coming, book in advance!!! Our recommendations are The Old Inn (20 minutes away) which does fantastic and highly recommended Steak, plus The Laroch (5 minutes away) which is the local pub. More places to go... There are many places to go to throughout your stay this may include, Oban (only 1 hour away), which has plenty of fantastic harbour food. Skye, which has tones of unimaginable views and is only a 30 minute ferry crossing from Oban (book online in advance), also try the local chippies in Skye and also Mull, it will be the freshest fish you will have ever tasted. Enjoy your stay. You won't be disappointed! We're coming back 100%! It's the Best B&B we've EVER been to!

    Great place to stay

What can I say? Both Claire and Angela are amazing. They make you feel so welcome. The rooms are lovely and the view outside is superb. Definitely one to put on your list if you are heading up for a trip. Thanks to you both for a lovely stay.

    The Best of Scottish Hospitality

I stayed here last year and brought my son back this year. I would highly recommend this for anyone look to travel to the Highlands and have a base close to the keys sights and attractions. Clare and the team at Creag Mhor are the perfect hosts. There was a great choice of food on offer- the "Highland Coo Stew" was perfect! Our room and public rooms were immaculately clean, warm and inviting - with great views out to the loch and the munroes. The bar also has to be one of the best stocked whisky bars on the planet!!! I should add too that strict Covid-19 cleanliness and social distancing were in place. I can't wait for a return visit:-)

    Lovely lodge with stunning views

This is a great place to stay. The accommodation owner is really welcoming and friendly. The room was very nicely presented and had all the things you would need (including an iron which is an often overlooked feature). Comfortable beds and large walk in shower. It has obviously recently been updated as everything was fresh and clean. The setting is great with beautiful views across the loch to Glencoe. They are obviously very careful with coronavirus precautions and the place was immaculate. The bar is well stocked and has large comfortable sofas and a log burner which was a welcome feature on a cold autumn night! Will definitely stay here again.

Denied room because we had a young child

Denied accommodation because our 3 year old daughter was with us. Booked and paid in advance through major booking site and had full confirmation for a family room (two double beds). Also emailed property in advance with a COVID protocol survey that noted our young daughter was staying with us. The hotel denied us the room upon arrival, stating that guests must be over age 10. They said it was clearly stated on their site rules (it isnt on the major booking site) and despite being informed that we had been on the road all day and just wanted to get our daughter to sleep, they were happy to put us out. If it wasnt bad enough, the hotel clerk was just rude about the whole thing.
