Amazing as alwaysMy husband and I returned to the Craigard for a weekend break and as always our stay was wonderful. Our room was beautiful and clean with a lovely view of the Loch. We were both welcomed back by Lori on arrival and the reception area was nice and tidy with lots of information leaflets available for things to do in the local area. We had dinner in the hotel both nights and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend the haggis balls starter! Nice portion size and very tasty. Service was excellent at both breakfast and dinner. We were made to feel very welcome and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Nothing was too much trouble. The walk to Davaar Island was really nice. Took about 2 hours to complete and the scenery was stunning. We will definitely be back again. It's our favourite place in Campbeltown! Would not hesitate to recommend a stay here. My family already have a visit planned for next year. Thanks again for a very special weekend stay. It was a belated treat for our 8 year wedding anniversary so the champagne was very well received and the room was just beautiful.

Just superbStayed for 2 nights booked through my company as was working in the vicinity. Stayed in the Arran room which was so homely and comfortable. The service, food/drinks choice and quality was absolutely outstanding and being a fish lover I was in heaven. I was just blown away with how impressive the whole experience was especially in these trying times. Ill be back without a doubt probably with the wife next time. A big thank you to Lori and Roger and the restaurant waitress whos name I sadly didnt catch.

Great stayFrom booking through to departure we cannot fault our stay. We arrived and Lori had given us an upgrade to room 4. This is a spacious room with four poster bed, couch, dining table and large bay window overlooking the harbour. Due to covid restrictions the bar wasn't open, we were able to enjoy pre-dinner drinks in the sitting room. They have an extensive drinks menu reasonably priced. We had dinner on both nights, great menu and again reasonably priced. I can recommend the seafood chowder which was so good I had it both nights. I also had the seafood platter which was a starter but they were happy to serve it as a main course. This was delicious with smoked mussels, smoked salmon and scallops that were cooked perfectly. My husband had the rack of lamb for his main course which again was cooked the way he requested. We shared a selection of five locally produced cheese for dessert which included a delicious pear cheese which was a first for me. Dinner on the second night was every bit as good. As a fish lover I opted for the seafood pie which was delicious. There was a great choice for breakfast, which set us up for a day of exploring. The young woman that served dinner and breakfast during our stay was very friendly. Lori, thank you for a great stay and hope to return in the future.

Friendly & welcomingI stayed here for 3 nights. Lori (manager/owner) was friendly and helpful throughout my stay - likewise the rest of the hotel team. The location is lovely (would be better in summer as I only experienced the traditional Scottish wind & rain!). Due to work commitments I was not able to eat in the restaurant for breakfast, so Lori offered to make me a packed lunch each morning- where else would you get that type of service? Id be happy to recommend this hotel. Its a traditional property with good character in a great location. The food is great too; all homemade and generous portion sizes. Thank you all at Craigard House Hotel - Ill be back!

WonderfulI had to stay in Campbeltown for work and had been recommended the Craigard by a fellow colleague. Both the hotel and its staff were incredible from start to finish and did not disappoint. Roger offered to pick me up from the airport to save me a taxi fare which was very kind and greatly appreciated. When I was shown to my room I was astounded by the breathtaking sea view and the quality of the room itself. I had a very comfortable nights sleep every night and enjoyed the luxury toiletries provided by the hotel. Most mornings I would have a cooked breakfast which was absolutely delicious. The hotel happily provided an endless supply of tea and biscuits whenever I ran out. You can ask for fresh milk at any time until later on in the evening. Due to COVID, and the potential lack of guests, I presumed there would be (quite rightly) a limited choice of evening meal - wrong! I was able to pick whatever I wanted from the menu each evening, all of the dishes were fantastic. If I had to choose my favourite it would be the lasagne. The desserts were even better which I could enjoy in the comfort of my own room which was a bonus. Dawn is a fantastic chef and Lori, Roger and the waitresses and cleaners in the morning/evening were very pleasant and professional at all times. All staff wore masks and regularly used hand gel which was appreciated. A huge thank you to every single one of you. I was made to feel very welcome at the Craigard hotel and I throughly enjoyed my stay here in January 2021. It is likely that I will need to return to Campbeltown for work at some point in the future and I know for sure where I will be staying!
