  I had a good time, but there were too many ants in the pool room!!! The overall stay was amazing and the staff that we interacted with were exceptional. The deer on the resort were beautiful and friendly.

  Just A stay

  First, we are gold members...so we have stayed here many times...but...When we arrived and put on a firelog...the room filled up with smoke...had to switch rooms...the pool was cold in the room...there was a inch gap on the bottom of the front door which made the rooms cold as it was in the teens the whole week. The internet was aweful...The food was average again...the breakfast, except for eggs for some reason...was cold most of the time...We just enjoyed spending time together....but we are just not sure we are coming back after a decade of going 1 or 2 times a year.

  Disappointed

  Hello, I must say that my experience at Paradise Stream was not what I expected. I am very disappointed. The entire place needs to be updated. Upon my arrival, I witnessed Monica at the front desk give the best presentation to another couple standing in line in front of me. When it was my turn to check in, I spoke to another person who was not as friendly. I felt the young lady was rushy and frustrated with something or someone else who was not answering the phones. Before I arrived to the facility, I asked if there was a gym on the premises. I was told NO. i found out the night before we left there was a fitness gym in the game room. I tried to book a spa appointment and was told someone would call me back. No one called me back. My room was not clean as it should have been. I called over and spoke with Monica. Monica apologize and stated she would send over housekeeping, and she explained how things worked due to COVID. My boyfriend and I ended up cleaning the entire room with bleach wipes champagne glass was dirty, bathroom, couches had stains, doors were dirt, the sparkling lights were broken in some spots and in spots only 4 lights were working. The ceiling over the bed had black electric tape holding it together. We were afraid it was going to fall on us in bed. The ceiling were the vents and the ceiling fan was so dirty and the list goes on. The room I stayed in was in bad shape to the point I could not take any good pictures (camera picked up every flaw). Today when I checked out I was disappointed with the breakfast. It was cold. When I saw this place online, I thought I was coming to visit what I saw online. I was told this place was updated. My boyfriend states it looks exactly the same way when he came many years ago as a young adult. I really hope the staff takes my review serious. If you want to attract more visitors by word of mouth, this place must me updated immediately.

  Great time

  Great place, Friendly staff. We had a good time and everything was made to perfection like we ask. Breakfast was great and the cafe staff were nice and friendly. Front desk were helpful and nice. Great view.

  COVE HAVEN IS A GREAT CONCEPT BUT EXECUTION COULD USE WORK

  So we rented a room that had a private heated pool in the hotel room, which was nice. The champaign room which is where we stayed definitely had some nice features but also needed some major updating. A few pieces of tiles were cracked or loose and needed repair. The railing leading up the steps had clearly been repaired numerous times and was not attached well and borderline hazardous. There were a couple cracks in mirrors and they were dirty/not cleaned. Due to COVID, many amenities were closed so we didn't get to do most of them. The hours of the Spooners Cafe is weird considering it is only lunch place on property and it doesn't open till 1 PM. Also the food at Spooners is lousy. The food in general is lousy, even the main Cathedral Restaurant. Servers are great, nice place, but the dinner was awful. Breakfast is fine and definitely better than dinner. Don't order the steak tips on Thursday, horrendous. Also, they need more items on the menu as it often limits you based on a theme to 3 or 4 choices which is silly. Overall, it's a nice little getaway, but overpriced for what you get, and the quality of the room and food can definitely need some work especially when you are paying upwards of $400+ per night. If they did some upgrading, expanded hours where you get order food, and delivered food to your room it would be a much better place. Some small renovations would really go a long way. Also if you need WIFI, the WIFI while it is free and they offer it, is abysmal. Disconnects every 5 seconds and is unsecure, could easily be fixed with a booster. While we are not there to use the internet, it was annoying not being able to video chat with our kids who were home with babysitter. Overall, I think next time I would rather stay in a 4 or 5 star hotel that maybe did not have as big a room but hit the mark on a nice room and good food.
