  Great Service at Courtyard Hanes Mall

  We had a great visit and it was all due to the great hospitality and service by Teresa at the front desk and Maria and Shawanda at the Bistro. All 3 of them made our stay extremely pleasant and they all worked to make our stay enjoyable when everyone has been on edge because of the Corona Virus. The breakfast was superb and taste like those found in 5 star establishments. Attached is a phot of us with Shawanda. Thanks again for a great stay and going over and beyond to keep us smiling.

  So...

  So my family and I stayed here while visiting Winston-Salem. I called to verify a few things and was greeted by Tiffany who was AMAZING and treated us like family from the beginning to end HOWEVER the rooms were horrible. Now I know its COVID19 but Jeesh. The sink was stopped up in our first room so we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite that smelled of mildew and actually had mold on the walls (we took pictures), the 3rd room was a suite and smelled like a locker room . So we ended up just taking our first room with the broken sink. Ms Terricia was kind enough to take something off of our bill but I dont think wed ever stay there again. As customer service goes and trying to go above and beyond to make things right, Tiffany and Ms Terricia were both jewels but thats it. Sorry Marriot, this one was a bust and it wasnt the employees fault.

  Getting worn, showing its age

  Comfortable but beginning to show its age. Stained carpeting in the room, cracked tiles in bathroom and mold in shower indicate this facility is in need of some TLC. EVEN numbered rooms on the back of the building face the highway. You can hear road noise. For the quietest rooms, ask for an odd numbered room on the frontside.

  Tired hotel

  When I was working I was top tier in Marriott and Hilton. Courtyard was one of my favorite places to stay, that is why I booked this hotel for a one night trip to Winston-Salem. What disappointing stay. First I will say the front desk people were very good. The first room I was put into, the hvac system would not put out heat and the temperature was going to 45 overnight. I was moved to another room where the hvac worked, but it was an old system and the fan would not run all the time, the tub/shower was that and I find that a real safety risk. The toilet was low to the ground. The food choices that were available in The Bisto were very limited, to the point I got a frozen meal from the pantry. This hotel is displaying pictures of the scheduled renovation to start sometime, but I will no be back.

  No hot water/dirty

  Room was dirty, no hot water, bathroom was less than desirable. Tub did not look clean. Spider webs in corners. Said something about no hot water, and the front desk lady could not help until someone else came to figure out if a room was close by for us to move to? Maintenance guy was not around, and the woman who tried to help me was not wearing a mask behind the counter at the breakfast area and was also texting. Do not recommend staying here at all.
