Stay awayIt's really disturbing to book a place to have a kitchen and find out that everything is such a poor quality ( burned tea kettle , dirty , really disgustingly dirty pot and pan, knifes , everything is oil and burned ( you can hear every noise from the apartments around ;( doors are loud heavy ;( I hate this place , but it could of been so nice ;( sad sad sad ... oh yes , In hôtels .com they sell it like place with swimming pool and sauna - there is none !!!

Great valueThese apartments are quite spacious. For example, 2 bedroom apartments are 100m. Enough for a whole family. Well equipped for cooking on your own: stove, microwave, dishwasher, dishes and pans. My only concern is the fact that check in process took 2 hours. I have never seen anything like that in my life. We arrived at 3pm and were checked in at almost 5pm. So be prepared for a huge line up. Check out process took about half an hour with the fact that our registration paper was lost and they had to issue another one...

Dirty, with very poor serviceThe best thing that can be said about this hotel is it's proximity to the ski slopes. There are also lots of restaurants and stores around, which is convenient. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was sufficient for two nights. But, the positives end there: The hotel is a huge complex of separate buildings, and the check in desk area is not at all clearly marked. We wandered around for a while and had to ask several people for directions. Even then, if a small sign hadn't caught my eye and I didn't know some cursive Cyrillic characters, we wouldn't have found it. When we checked in, they took forever finding my reservation, going as far as to say I didn't have a reservation, even though I handed them a print out, . When I handed over my passport for id, the clerk said I needed a new visa (clearly I had already made it into the country via the real border agents...) before seeing the clearly valid date at the top of the page. It was 10pm and they were about to put my friends in a building higher up on the mountain...accessible by gondola, which wasn't running at that hour. It took a while for them to fix that issue. Then, I had to walk around for a good bit, late at night and dragging my bags, to find my room, in a separate building from the check in. Separate buildings aren't the worst thing, but the map and signs are very poorly labeled. When I did find the building, it took more investigating to determine that there was only 1 tucked away, poorly marked door that I could use to get to my room. The room had two bathrooms, a bedroom, and combined kitchen dining living room. It was nice to have dishes provided, but the fridge smelled terrible. The room was oppressively hot and I could not get the thermostat to work. When I called about the issue, the answer was to open a window. Finally a technician came, but he didn't know how to work the thermostat... The hallways were unfinished and dirty, and everywhere just smelled bad. My friends' apartment had one room with just a sink in it, and a huge stain on the living room wall. I didn't have a do not disturb sign (others did) and my room was not cleaned. I didn't mind this for two nights, but any longer would have meant running out of shampoo and soap. After a day of skiing, tired, sweaty, and dragging gear, several of my friends all found that their key cards weren't working. They then had to trek over to the check in building, and were told that their cards were deliberately deactivated because the hotel hadn't scanned their passports! My friends all said this wasn't true, but regardless, that is ridiculous to lock them out of the rooms instead of calling them.

Surprisingly good!We spent there 3 nights in November, the price was more than reasonable, just 860 robles per night! the location is very good, the apartments are clean and spacious. I'm going to spend my next vacation with my family there!

What you're getting is a lotteryI stayed in Gorki apartments 3 times and visited friends in other apartments few more times. What you get in these apartments is pure lottery that ranges from spacious nice apartments to small dirty apartments where some items are not working. You can only know what you get at reception. Note that reception at 560m serves several hundreds of apartments and lines are sometimes awful. Staff is not really helping you, they don't care at reception and everywhere else. If you need something in the room, i.e. extra bed that you've booked in advance, you need to continuously call reception and all other service numbers that you can find. We waited for extra bed 2 hours after arrival (we arrived at midnight). BTW extra bed is only for kids, it is short. There is hardly enough plates/cups in the kitchen. The best thing about apartments is proximity to lifts.
