  A very nice hotel with knowledgeable staff

  Stayed here in June 2019 and was pleasantly surprised about almost everything. Almost brand new hotel close to the botanic gardens as well as shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and the rooms spacious and quiet. Would highly recommend this hotel.

  Excellent stay once again!!

  Being here few times and never disappointed, the hotel is beautiful and the Botanic Park just beside the hotel is in it best time of the year so no surprise the hotel looks so busy on weekend! Staff is always friendly and ready to help and recognize your needs. This stay I was very impressed by the numerous cleanness and hygiene initiatives that they have taken during this COVID-19 period to protect guests, it really make me feel safe and I will indeed back soon.

  Good Covid Prevention Measures, Executive Lounge Changes

  This was our second stay at this property. It did seem significantly less personal this time, but with Covid everything is a bit different, and we still really enjoyed it! Seeing as how it was a staycation for us, the lounge was an important part of the experience. At first, we were disappointed that the executive happy hour had been moved to the first floor (in the same space breakfast is served), but when we saw how that allowed for more significant social distancing, we embraced the switch. We also appreciated that guests had their temperatures taken before entry and were required to wear masks while at the buffet. While we found the alcohol selection to be somewhat limited, the food was very good and plentiful. (Note: Previously, the executive food and beverage was offered for 4 hours, and it has been cut down to just 2 hours: 17:30-19:30.) We can highly recommend a suite with a Botanic Park view. Lovely.

  Why are you complaining? You got this for free....

  As a Marriot Bonvoy member, I would expect a little bit more hospitality from this Hotel & its staff. Last year, my wife and I purchased 2 mystery boxes (25,000 each) from their Christmas event and we ended up winning 2 free breakfast buffets + 2 lunch or dinner buffet which expired in July/Aug. Now due to Covid, the hotel stopped serving their buffets to the public and only for guests (which is totally fine with me). However, when we asked if we could use these gift cards this month after they opened, the staff told us no. My wife explained that we also had a baby in July which didn't allow us to use these gift cards sooner. The staff ignored that part and told us that we should be thankful because we received the gift cards for free...which wasn't the case, we paid 50,000w to partake in this Christmas Event The service was horrible and such a let down. I would expect at least a free coffee or anything due to this matter, but all we got were a bunch of no's and no's. I slept at this hotel once and it was great, but this lack of hospitality especially during Covid is very disappointing.

  Poor service

  It was the saddest experience I have ever had with Marriott. The receptionist took ages to check-me in and she didn't show any expressions of warmth or kindness. She was very robotic and asked me whether I would have breakfast in the morning, saying "are you sure you're going to have breakfast at the cafe?" I was checking-in past midnight after a long meeting, exhausted. Should I be sure whether I would have my breakfast at the cafe or in the room by the time I check-in? I could not feel any type of generosity from the receptionist. She had a newbie behind her watching her to learn from her. Hope the newbie doesn't learn that kind of attitude.
