  Do Not Stay Here - Terrible Customer Service

  I am a very frequent traveller, and own a business in Los Angeles. Today unfortunately our whole world was rocked when our School Track Meet was canceled due to CORVID-19, causing a lot of last minute changes and many families were affected. We got in touch with the hotel immediately upon receiving the news and told them of our plight and of course they were understanding... j/k. Instead this is the response we got back: Unfortunately per hotel policy you will be charged room and tax for both rooms.   Heartless Management. Stay away.

  Early this morning, our middle school event was cancelled due to Coronavirus. Not only did the management refuse to refund all 10 families their money, they misled some families to believe that they would, only to inform them later via email that they would not honor their word. This during a national emergency and at a time when we all need to help each other, is beyond greed.

  Would've been great

  As always I prefer to stay at the newer/modern properties even if it's more than the older down the street due to quality and offerings. The room was very spacious, didn't care for the card to be inserted to power on the lights as I used my phone as a key therefore it was hot and no lighting. I tried contacting the front desk, but nobody answered. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was spacious and spotless.

  Juan in a million!

  My family had to stay overnight unprepared and last minute after a terrible experience with a car transport company & had such a relaxing stay for such a stressful time for us! Juan the guy at the front desk went above and beyond to help us during our stay! He is really a perfect example of excellent customer service in a world of people in customer service jobs who seem to hate actual customers! The place was clean, the beds and pillows were fabulous, the a/c was cold and it was quiet!

  Nice Newer Hotel but not our best stay

  We had been looking for a hotel close to our grandchildren and have stayed there for the past 2-3 years at Christmas. The Courtyard has very good Covid safety precautions. I booked the stay with points and requested a suite upgrade, which was confirmed about 24 hrs before arrival. The front desk staff was responsive and provided great customer service.. We had room 440, a larger room with 2 queen beds, a mini fridge and a microwave and a sitting area with sofa and desk. This particular room was terrible, due to a strange vibrating noise that was difficult to trace. Every few minutes there was a loud shuddering sound that quite literally shook the beds. At first, we thought it was the mini fridge cycling on and off so we unplugged it. We spent little time in the room the second day, but determined that it was not the mini fridge, but something outside the room. My husband thought it was doors slamming, but the sound seemed to come from literally under the beds, where there are no doors. Our 3rd and last night, after dealing with very loud next door guests until after 10pm neither of us could sleep, our beds were shaking so frequently. I made a point of telling the front desk when we checked out about this strange noise and she said (as if she knew something), Could it have been coming from the roof? We had a top floor room, not far from where we stayed last year. Last years room did not have shaking beds! Overall, while this is probably the best choice in the area, for business travelers, couples and families but we didnt have a great stay and I would probably not stay there again.
