Dirty roomThe hotel is in a very good location and appears to be fairly new. That's the good, and the reason this was not a 1 star review. Now, let me preface the following comments. I rarely complain. I'm the guy that will just eat my food at a restaurant when it is not properly cooked, instead of making a fuss. When we entered our room and I stepped on the bathroom floor, my shoes stuck to the floor. There was something sticky all over the bathroom floor. Everywhere I stepped left a trail from my shoes. The floor was dry and not recently mopped. I called the front desk to tell them about it and was told "It must just be the cleaner they used". I replied that it was pretty disgusting and they sent someone to come clean the floor. However, right after that I found two prescription pills on the floor under the desk. At this point I knew the room has not been properly cleaned and asked for a new room. Between room changes, I was about to get on the elevator with our belongings. A hotel employee, with his mask down below his chin and not covering his mouth also was about to get on. There are "masks required" signs everywhere in this hotel. I declined to get on the elevator and took the stairs. When I arrived in the second room, there was something splattered all over the wall near the door. But at this point I was too tired to change rooms again. I have stayed in many Marriotts. In fact I am a member of Marriott Rewards and have been for years. It is my favorite chain. I would suggest the management double check the housekeeping. It needs significant help. This is a very nice hotel in a nice location. But I would never stay here again as I would always fear the room was not properly cleaned. If there ever was a time to make sure rooms are cleaned properly, you would think in COVD times, it would be double checked. Again, I do not complain. I almost feel a little guilt even making this harsh review. I hope management can take this and make to hotel cleaner and better.

RudeTrying to get into the parking lot was very difficult because the parking lot had those awful, intense LED lights that make it hard to see, and across the road was a football field with even worse lighting that blinded me more. The lobby entrance is not marked and I ended up in the garage before I saw the way inside. The lobby is on the second floor instead of the ground floor where it should be. The clerk was very rude and hateful, especially after she saw my out-of-state driver license. She kept complaining about my reservation and didn't tell me about breakfast or if there was one, the check-out time, or anything other than how much she disliked checking me in. I had no control over the reservation because my company requires our managers to make it for us when we have to work overnight in another city, and after working 13 hours on my feet dragging carts all day, all I wanted was a shower and a bed. When I got to my room, the television was blaring, the air conditioner was on when the low that night was supposed to be in the low 50s, there was not a microwave so I couldn't have the supper and breakfast I had brought with me, there weren't any trash bags in the trash cans and I had to take my garbage with me, the bathroom floor was dirty, and there wasn't a tub and the shower didn't even have a door or a place to hang my wash cloth while I showered! The bed was hard and I barely got any sleep tossing and turning on it. I was up and ready for another day at work before my alarm went off. My room was very far away from the elevator, so I tried to go down the stairs next to my room since I was sore and hurting from work the day before, and the stairs didn't go to the parking lot. It went to some random balcony above the ground and no matter how many times or which way I swiped my key, the doors would not unlock. A housekeeper had to let me in. Thank goodness the lobby wasn't far away so I could finally leave. I left Marriott more tired and hungry than I arrived. I have consistently had bad experiences with Marriott, and I would much rather go to more affordable chains that have microwaves in the rooms and a complimentary muffin and cup of juice near the lobby in the morning.

2020 Berry GraduationHad a great time enjoying the hotel accommodations, 99% of staff were SO accommodating and LOVED convenience to downtown! We had quite a few of us staying there and we all had fun. It's the perfect place to stay when in Rome Ga.

Way below expectationsI stayed here on business for a week, and from the check in day my experience was horrible at the is property. I am a Marriott Lifetime Titanium member, front desk staff quibbled about giving me an extra breakfast ticket for my partner that I had listed on my room because they didnt see her name listed No acknowledgement about Elite status at all. As the week went on I realised that this hotel is not strictly enforcing masks, I saw several guests and some staff not wearing masks at all or some correctly, which I personally think is very irresponsible of the hotel staff/management. The housekeeping service was probably one of the worst I have ever experienced, they only cleaned the room very basically when it was cleaned (twice), things were left so uncleaned and surfaces not wiped down properly, stains still on the bathroom floor that I had to go through the duty manager twice to ask if this could be done more thoroughly again, and only on one occasion was it done anywhere near properly, this needs immediate attention, especially in these Covid times. I had an awful experience the day I was checking out and I have requested to be contacted by the General Manager to discuss this, so I will wait for her to reach out to me. The lack of customer service overall was abysmal, and I wont be back.
