  Poor customer service

  This hotel has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I had point stays here and they ended up authorizing my cc for the room twice which they claim is a Marriott policy. To make matters worse after I checked out the authorizations did not drop off even 14 days later. When I called them about it the claimed I had to talk to my cc company, which is Citibank, not some no name cc. I spoke with citi and they told me the hotel has not released the charge. I called the hotel back and they had no answers. In comparison I stayed at another nearby Marriott property. The Fairfield inn and there was no such problem. So it's this place. Don't stay there unless you want your credit eaten up by their bad billing procedures.

  Ok stay

  Things I liked about this hotel: -very clean! This is the number one thing I need when staying at a hotel -hair dyer was the best I think Ive used in a hotel - shampoo, conditioner and body wash in bigger pump bottles. I like that this creates a lot less plastic waste. - front desk and breakfast staff were very nice -big window that lets in lots of light Things I disliked: -only enough coffee in the room for one person for one morning. - like larger bottles in shower to cut down on waste, but the conditioner was very, very watered down -ladies, theres no garbage in the bathroom for your sanitary products. You either have to move the one from out in the room in, or carry it out of the toilet area. -the hook on the back of the bathroom door did not work. Whatever different ways I hung towels, clothes, they all ended up on the floor. -toilet paper was one ply and so thin it was see through -the walls in the place must be SO THIN. heard everything, all the time, even after quiet hours - Flat sheet was too small for the bed. Nothing egregious for sure, but enough smaller things not great that made this one of my least favorite stays at a courtyard.

  Nice 2 night stay

  Very clean hotel and excellent room. Bed was very comfortable too. Just needs microwave in the room. Kind of bothersome to go back and forth to the lobby to use the one there. The staff on all three shifts was very helpful and nice. And that cool flavored water machine in the lobby to refill water bottles is great. Loved sitting out by the fire pit on a chilly night. Also an excellent fitness center. Oh cant forget the hand sanitizer filled handles in the lobby restrooms... excellent

  Sad experience

  I was staying there for business purposes Hoping for a peaceful and relaxing place But was very disturbing by the police who are hiding there and always coming around the hotel and came to my car daily harassing me and asking me what I am doing there. was very uncomfortable and unconstitutional. I also witness when a Uber driver drove into hotel they stopped him at the hotel for no reason. I also witness when a guest didn't checked out on time the police unlawful entered his room.

  I book this hotel often. I not only grew up in NJ but also have family and friends in the Mahwah area. This Marriott Courtyard is friendly and helpful. Look for Valerie, Lyndsey, Brooke, Margareto, Rich, David. They and the rest of their staff will make your stay fun, pleasant and problem free. Interested? Keep reading..... Medium size rooms are quiet and comfortable with many bonuses. There are large screen tv's with an abundant amount of channels which are free. Rooms are clean and attractive with balconies. Each room has a coffee maker, many shampoo products, and a refrigerator. The lobby has tasty food and delicious wines set in an updated large area with fireplace, business center and different seating options. In warmer weather, the courtyard and outside are flowered, landscaped nicely and attractive with outdoor seating and firepit. Parking is excellent, An indoor pool & small workout room is nice to have. Mahwah Courtyard is close to malls, outlets, fine dining, and even Long Island & NYC. Next week I'm visiting this special hotel, again. It's been ten years of my frequenting Courtyard by Marriott Mahwah!
