  Horrilbe Experience

  Let me start by saying Ive been a loyal Marriott customer for many years and in all my years of travel I have never experienced such a horrifying situation as I did on my stay at the Marriott Courtyard Lexington South/Hamburg Place . First, the hotel should not have been open to the public during the major construction that was taking place during my stay. Our 1st experience was with the front desk clerk who stated Oh Ya Its A Real Mess and in addition was not wearing a face mask. The Lobby and corridors were covered in 1 to 2 inches of dirt and construction dust. When we asked to speak to the manger, Jeff Westin came out and was less then happy that we requested him. When I told him that the Hotels Website did not state that the Hotel was under construction and amenities such as the Bistro Café, Bar, and store were not open or ready for customers. Jeff stated, Thats Correct he also that a small paragraph appears during payment which states they were under construction. Well we were tired from driving 7.5 hours and decided to grin and bear it, but it only continued to get worse. Construction noise started early am throughout the day. The most disturbing site was the 15 to 20 construction workers not wearing face mask throughout the hotel. The Lobby was a disaster with architect plats laying everywhere, the walls were strip of wallpaper trim and paint. We were sickened by how filthy the elevators were, so we decided to use the stairwells, that was a mistake. The same empty bottles and cans remained on the landings along with construction debris. In addition, housekeeping wore no mask or gloves. And the ice machine on the second floor had mold growing on the drip tray.Perhaps the Courtyard Lexington South/Hamburg Place should watch the Marriott Covid-19 video which shows the extra steps that Marriott is taking to keep their customers safe during these trying times.

  Great place to stay in Lexington!

  I found my stay at the Courtyard Hamburg Place better than expected during my stay especially since the hotel is being renovated! Everything is clean, safe and the wonderful staff goes above and beyond anything expected to make sure the guest are not inconvenienced any more than necessary during the remodeling. The cafe is not only convenient but the food is very good.. Upon completion of remodeling, there will be a very nice conference room as well as lounge/tv area. There is also a nice outside area in which to sit and plenty of safe parking. This hotel is a winner not only by location but by such a pleasant stay..

  Good Stop for Overnight on Road Trip

  Just finishing a major renovation, room was clean with nice amenities. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We were on a road trip and drove until tired - made our reservations on the Marriott app while walking in the door - worked out perfectly.

  Traveling for a family funeral

  I stayed at this property twice within a few days of each other. Even though they had a major remodeling project going on and the employees helping with the bar area and breakfast didnt know what they were doing, my first visit was ok. I was headed to a family funeral. On my drive back I stayed there again. When showering I grabbed the wash cloth that was sitting on top of the bath towels. Someone, apparently in housekeeping, decided to Wipe themselves in a very private area. I washed my face with this. The smell was non mistakable. Absolutely Disgusting. I will report this to the state health authorities that service hotels/motels. Ive been traveling for almost 50 years. Im also a Marriott gold elite member, not that it matters. As you can imagine Ive seen a little of everything but NEVER anything like this. Im guessing the employee guilty of the act choose to do this because of having to work in a Covid period. Maybe a complaint with management. Maybe a run in with a previous guest. Maybe a little of all three. And to think I normally write a very positive note of thanks to our housekeeper and leave some money with it. So, Im disgusted but sad for the sick human being that would do such a thing.

  Clean well taken care of. Staff was great. Reasonable price. And within walking distance of several restaurants. Ample parking. Room requested was what I received. Allowed for early check in. Server at the breakfast area in the morning was cheerful. And very helpful.
