  Great Stay During Social Distancing

  My husband & I stayed here while moving our daughter to her next college apartment. This hotel did a great job of social distancing guests within each area of the hotel. This is always our favorite place to stay, but we werent overly excited to stay in a hotel right now. I have to say that this hotel is doing a great job of spacing guests apart & sanitizing between guests - - leaving rooms vacant the appropriate number of days between guests. We fully understood why certain parts of the hotel were not open. We love being right on the river & watching all the boats & barges go by. We had a king room with pull-out couch area which was nice when our daughter spent some time with us in the evening. Front desk personnel at check-in & check-out (& in between) were absolutely wonderful to work with. Guests did a great job of trying to stay to themselves. Thanks for another great stay. We will be back!

  Hard bed

  My back hurt so much by morning, I could barely get up. It is a mattress on top of slab, metal pedestal that I stubbed my toe on. Bathroom was very small to move in. Carpet newer, decor dated. Fridge in room worked well. Apps available on tv that you can sign in with your own accounts. Free parking. During Covid you must sign up to use indoor pool.

  Excellent staff, but not 100% Covid Safe.

  We spent one night here. When booking a hotel, we looked for a chain and a hotel that's committed to Covid safety. We hoped that Marriott would be it. The good news is that masking is required and staff abide. So do most guests. But we were frustrated to see several guests walking through the lobby, and into the elevator, holding beers and not wearing masks. Clearly, they were breaking the hotel's policies. But they could be excused for thinking otherwise. Across from the guest elevators is a small indoor pool that has re-opened in it. Upon our arrival there were several children playing in the pool (obviously unmasked) watched by parents at a table who were also unmasked. What's the point of having a mask rule if you're going to allow a closed space be unmasked? On the plus side, staff were extremely responsive, helpful, and friendly. Really excellent people. With regard to masking, they're simply following guidelines from management and - considering how some folks react to being asked to mask - can't be held responsible for unmasked folks. But that just begs the question --- why is Marriott placing its staff and guests at risk by keeping an indoor pool open? We wouldn't stay here during Covid again. See you after the pandemic.

  Nice river front location

  Probably not the newest or most polished property in La Crosse... but this hotel offers a fantastic river front location. The river trail runs right in front of the hotel. Rooms are pretty standard Courtyard, as are the common areas. Property felt a little dated, but it is in good condition. Not many signs of extra Covid cleaning. Face masks required and the bar/bistro is closed, seemed about it. Property is close to performing arts center, convention center, and historic downtown.

  Amazing stay

  First the hotel is super clean which is very important at this thought time of COVID. Second staff are just amazing ,helpful, professional and very personable. I would you say it is best hotel at lacrosse. The room had amazing view on Mississippi River and the patio is just great and very scenic view. I loved my stay and all I can say is Thank you!
