  Business stay

  Great stay good location close to Southeastern University and downtown Hammond. Downtown is a must if you find yourself in Hammond. Small town feel when walking downtown by the bicycle shops, restaurants with curbside seating and vintage service stations that are lost in time.

  Great location, hotel facility needs a facelift

  We stay at this hotel at least four times a year. Over the past two years, we have seen a marked decline in the upkeep of the facility. Part of the problem is the design of the bathrooms where water splashes everywhere out of the shower, which has no curtain or door. The wood on the sink table is peeling, and probably rotting. We did notice an upgrade in the bed linens this time. The towels are tired and worn. The staff is friendly and helpful.

  One night stay on our way back home

  We travel between Florida and Texas several times a year. This trip I decided to push past our half way mark of Slidell to Hammond to try to get a less crowded hotel (pandemic and all ). I was correct in my thinking. Hammond, although a pretty big city, was not nearly as busy as Slidell was on our previous trip. Could be a months difference in people traveling, I really couldnt say since this was our first time stopping in Hammond. The registration desk personnel were prompt & courteous. Housekeeping was sanitizing 1 of the elevators when we arrived, which was comforting to see. Our room was nice, but appeared to have seen heavy use in the past. Nothing on housekeeping, they cleaned it well. It could use a visit from a handyman. The caulk around the shower needs to be replaced. The wallpaper behind the toilet was clearly bleached at some point. (Dont want to know what the poor housekeeping person had to clean up Srsly people, leave a tip for these employees because of all the stuff they deal with on the daily.) The sheets were spotlessly clean, but a spot on the mattress showed through the white sheets. The ac unit, when it kicked on, sounded like a small engine plane starting up. Didnt matter to us because we were exhausted after the days drive, and it was like a loud white noise that hummed us to sleep. All in all, we will probably stay here again on our future trips.

  One night stay

  Very clean, comfortable beds and the parking lot is well lit. Also very quiet lots of hand sanitizer stations. I admit the outside could use a bit of a face lift but once inside it is very nice and I would stay there again. Also there are a lot of places to eat around this hotel which makes supper a breeze.

  Safe from the Cold

  PROS: clean room, quick check-in, friendly clerk CONS" 1/2 roll bath tissue :( noisy when we first got to our room (lasted almost 2hours) doors constantly slamming; kids crying, adults shouting at kids... King bed looked/felt like Queen; requested extra linen, not provided -Couple & singles should not be booked on same floor as families with children
