Some renos going on.Stayed here for 2 nights. The front of the hotel is still under renovation so you have to get to the lobby through a side door. No big deal. The reno's of the rooms are finished. We had a NS, King, 1 BR suite with fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Walk in shower in the bathroom with the sink separate from the shower/toilet. A big hotel room with a big bedroom. Clean and well kept. Also sliding glass doors to a patio on the courtyard. Some of the finishing in the shower was a bit iffy, grout in the tile floor and silicon seal around the base of the shower. Overall a very nice room for a very good price. This was a very quiet hotel except for a couple of emergency vehicle sirens. Staff were very pleasant and both helpful and not. When we checked in it was 3 pm and we were told the room wasn't ready yet. Desk clerk said he'd call us when done, so we left to do a couple of things. We weren't 6 blocks from the hotel when he phoned to say the room was ready. But they provided us with extra coffees for the room no questions asked. The curious thing was that our room had 2 recycle buckets and no trash can. I brought it to their attention twice and the second time they came to the room to check it out. We never did get a trash can. There were a couple of restaurants within walking distance. And the Haywood Mall was directly across the freeway and easily accessible by vehicle. They do not have a free breakfast but have a bistro in the hotel that serves breakfast and a limited dinner menu. Beer and wine available too. We are glad we stayed here, a nice hotel at a good price with friendly staff. They just need to catch up on the rooms after their renovations.

New renovation - convenient to downtown and nice perksThis hotel is finishing up renovations - inside is beautiful but the outside is not quite polished yet. Everything inside is updated, modern and fresh looking with comfortable and functional rooms. The lobby area had lots of nooks for hanging out or doing some work while traveling and the table areas have their own flat tv screen! There is a bistro in the lobby with happy hour specials. Perks include friendly staff and a free shuttle service to downtown Greenville thats very convenient. Would love to stay here again!

Service and condition unexpectedly below our standardBooked a room weeks ahead at a fairly high price (roughly double what they usually offer the same room at, and as a comparison, even higher than what I paid a week before for a 4* Chicago Michigan Ave Marriott property). Outside renovation is happening, not a big issue. The front desk staff at check-in was unfriendly and ignorant, especially later when we wanted to inquire about breakfast, but we ended up not addressing the issues with the room as the conversation was not going anywhere. The two major problems were: (1) the substandard cleanliness of the bathroom (hair everywhere, dirty toilet, dirty sink) and (2) the dysfunctional door latch. The wall plate of the latch was attached by a single screw only (instead of 3) and the plate could flip and prevent the door from normal opening. This was immediately a problem upon arrival, but we still managed to get into the room. Later, however, I had to wake up the family, as I was unable to open the door due to this issue. Not sure if this is already a renovated room, but considering the condition of some of the furniture, I doubt. The photos I add were taken at the property.

Everything DisgustingI was traveling for business and stayed at this property. Upon checking in the front desk man stated he didn't have my room type available. I reserved a king and he gave me a double handicap. I arrived during check in hours so my room request should've been available. That was strike one with me. Mind you I spend alot of money with this brand and is very high in ranks. Apparently its remodeled except for the toilets. I had to get a plunger from front desk on third shift. I was tired and didn't feel like going to front desk. As soon as I walked out the room I saw people hanging out appeared intoxicated or on something. I had to wait for two sets of people before my turn. I told the RUDE 3rd shift worker what was going on and he told me he would bring it up (towels & plunger). This RUDE guy brought things up stepped back and said "here". Very disrespectful the way he did that. He should have just thrown the things in the room or outside the door and walked off from the way he was acting. This person handed me a dirty plunger. Very nasty and clearly it was previously used. Common sense should've have told his brain to take the dirty bag off and replace it with a clean bag. This person definitely doesn't need to work for anyone. He clearly don't know how to conduct himself professionally. Then the next morning I woke up itching. I was so irritated with the entire stay I just packed up and left. In my opinion the lower star Marriott property's are a waste of money. I will never visit this waste of money property again. If a person hates the job they do they should quit. Its very simple. Stop having poor judgment and lack of customer service. You are getting paid to do a job.

Difficult to gauge hospitality quotient- CoVid throws everything off!CoVid Protocols in place and being observed diligently by staff. Check-in was seamless. Rooms clearly had received extra type cleaning. Good location off major regional highway. Food service significantly limited.
