  Hidden gem

  Randon and staff are very welcoming. Makes you feel like part of the family, you all do an excellent job. I will recommend this place to anyone coming around the columbia sc area. Look forward to many more stays at this property.

  Friendly staff and comfy beds!

  The staff was very friendly and fast. Our bed was super comfy and nice to sleep on. We only stayed one night, but we would stay again. The Marriott hotels are always great! They may be a little more pricey than some others, but always worth it!

  Nasty bugs and human hair on the bed box spring

  I checked in the Courtyard Marriott on Friday August 14th for a 3 day stay; however, after 2 nights I had to check out! On the second night, I woke up to a bug crawling on me. This disgusting discovery lead me to pull back the sheets and mattress cover and push back the mattress where I saw human hair and what looked like shells from bugs along with some other crud at the top of the box spring. I have some unbelievable pictures taken that came from this Courtyard Marriott hotel in room 203. I had to take all my belonging and store them in the bathroom where I took the hair dryer on high to blow through my belongings hoping I would kill anything that may have gotten into my suitcase or in my other belongings. The Front Desk Manager and Executive Housekeeping Manager came to my room to see for themselves and seem to be disgusted as well. However, the Housekeeping Manager told me honestly they never clean there, they ( I assuming housekeepers) only change the sheets on the mattress. They pledged to call a bug exterminator to check out the room. As a remedy they said they would give me some points. Well, I got some and WHAT AN INSULT! Everyone received 750 per night if they did not request housekeeping which I did not for 2 stays which means I would automatically get 1500 points. Well, they gave me 1980 points which means for my troubles I got 480 points (enough to get some pop and chips). In addition, when I got home, I had to leave my bags in the garage kill anything that may have gotten in there because I did not know the outcome to the bug test, and I was not going to take a chance of getting any of these bugs into my house. In summary, not a good hotel and terrible CUSTOMER SERVICES. Not sure if I will every stay at a Marriott hotel again.

  Great service

  On a trip from California we had a small problem with one room. We called down to the office, and Rebecca was really nice and reddy to help.Not to mention she had great customer service. When I come back Ill stay there thanks Rebecca and the Marriott staff.

  Frumpy

  This courtyard has got to be the dumpiest courtyard that Ive ever stayed at. It is right off the highway and I suppose it gets a lot of off the road traffic. That always wears on a hotel. The common areas looked unkempt, the glass was full of fingerprints and the beds looked like they had been made in a rush,they were comfortable though. I was passing through but would probably not stay here again. COVID restrictions were a bit wonky! Bistro was still closed but NONE of the employees wore a mask....not sure what guidelines they were following. ?????????????????????????????????
