  Pleasantly Surprised

  I travel to Cleveland often for work, and I have stayed at 8 hotels in the area. This last night in the Courtyard was unexpectedly pleasant. It now tops my list as my go-to hotel. It was very clean and I mean, really clean. Room smelled good, sheets were white and crisp, the mattress looked almost new. No stains on the carpet, and no worn furniture in the room or the lobby. The room was comfortable. However, the bathtub did have a bit of gunk along the caulk lines. The tub was the only let down of the room. The Bistro/bar area was not open when I checked in. Thats a shame, because the menu looked good. Maybe it closes by 8pm. In-room coffee was delicious! And as I read in another review, there is no bottled water in the room. That must be a Courtyard thing, because other ones do not have water, either. Off-rush hour travel time to downtown was about 20 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Its a good value for the price.

  Solid courtyard

  Solid courtyard with all necessary amenities, incl. indoor pool, conveniently situated West of Cleveland, closer to the airport than downtown. Right off I-90. Greta if looking for an option outside Cleveland or for pass-through.

  Bait and Switch

  We booked a room at the Courtyard Cleveland Westlake. Upon arrival, we were told that the hotel was closed due to low occupancy and they were moving us to the Towne Place Suites next door. We checked it out and it was nasty. We refused to check in, demanded a refund and left.

  Its was nice, but not great

  First the positives, the bedroom part of the room was very nice, looked as if it was recently renovated. The decor was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable.the room had a large balcony, however would have been better with a few chairs. It was nice that they had USB ports and plenty of plugs to connect devices. Now the negatives, the bathroom, with the exception of the floor needs a major renovation. The shower wall was cracked under the shower head. The air conditioner was not cooling the room, and we notified the front desk, and coincidentally it started working. There was no housekeeping due to covid, and we had to exchange our towels and garbage as no one was available to bring up to the room, so we had to get ourselves at the front desk. If housekeeping was not available that should be explained on the website. The restaurants was not open during our stay so no breakfast available. All in all it was okay but not great.

  Been a couple years...hard years apparently

  Havent stayed at this property in a while, at least a year and a bit. Thought it would be a decent place for work. Wish I wouldve been told...no television! Not my room, no, the entirety of the hotel. Figured it was just my tv so when I called down I was told you shouldve been told at check in. Yeah, I should have. Just an unkempt place now in general. Even the landscaping looks rough. Better sites nearby.
