  Highly recommend this hotel

  Exceptionally nice hotel. Clean, fresh, rooms were great. Very accommodating staff. Amenities were closed due to pandemic, but hotel staff was very welcoming. Great nearby restaurants. Great stay! Highly recommend!

  Football Game

  Nice hotel. Our room was clean and tidy. Decor seemed updated. The beds were comfortable. My only complaint was the sheet topper (supposed to be the bedspread, I believe). It was thin like a sheet, but had a decorative pattern. I would have liked something with a little more weight to it. Check in was fine. However, the young lady working seemed to be being trained by a young man. This in itself was fine. However, the young man was not dressed appropriately, in my opinion. He had ripped jeans, tennis shoes, and a hoodie which he wore over his head. Not very professional looking. Would I stay here again? Sure. Nicest hotel in Troy.

  Horrible!

  When we arrived the desk clerk was very preoccupied with a FaceTime call and very little attention was placed on checking us in. I was made to swipe my card twice because of an error on his part. We were given a room and proceeded to go in. As we opened the door we were stunned to find a couple already in the bed. We made our way back to the clerk, who was still enjoying his family talk time, and explained what had happened. At this time I was informed I needed to swipe my card again for incidentals. We were given another room. As we entered this room we noticed the lights were on and the closet was open. On the dresser was food containers. The beds were made but had been laid all over. The bathroom was a mess and there was trash in the cans still. Once again we made our way back down to the front desk, where once again the clerk was enjoying FaceTime, and we were given yet another room. This room was actually unoccupied and the room had at least been cleaned. And yet, the toilet didnt flush properly (my husband had to fix it so we could use it), the mattresses were nasty with NO mattress covers and worn out. I have stayed in many hotels In my life but have never been this disappointed in a one night stay. I think some attention needs to be paid to this location and the management staff looked into.

  Nightmare

  Stayed two nights as came to bury my brother. Found out my rate was $16 more than my family member. Asked front desk for adjustment was rude and negative to help. I was persistent and refunded $16 but said nothing else they could. Beware of jello beds especially if you want to avoid back pain. I called the front desk and same attitude as they kept repeating all rooms are like that. I ended up putting the mattresses on the floor for minimal relief. On top of everything else last night had black ants on the bed and was late so removed sheets with ants in-them. Told front desk when I checked out and all they said was do you want us to spray. I was checking out! Never saw such a careless attitude and also a supposedly nice hotel have so many issues. Nightmare.

  Skip and stay in Daphun or Montgomery!

  We checked in after an 11 hour drive, and the clerk didn't even look up at us or greet us. Just "reservation?" Another male clerk took many smoke breaks, and had nothing on to indicate he was part of the staff. No free water (usually complimentary), but instead $11 for 4 bottles. Go to Wal Mart or Publix. We were tired from our trip and just wanted to check in and get dinner. The rooms were not clean (see pics). The light fixtures had a layer of dust on them, thus not making us feel very secure in the cleanliness - hello COVID anyone? Second, we ordered out and ate in the dining room downstairs. Nobody invited us to do so, so we just sat down. Upon our departure, my father, mistakenly, went behind the bar looking for disinfectant to clean our table. Now, he is 72, tired from driving and just trying to be a good guest. They immediately became upset with us, so I went back to the room and grabbed some Lysol wipes and wiped down ALL THE TABLE AND CHAIRS WE USED. Nobody it welcoming in this place, and even when I went to throw our trash outside, the gentleman worker made a comment under his breath. Something like "I ain't gonna clean that up", but I could be wrong. Benefit of the doubt and all. Finally, the "ice bag" was ripped (see pics) so no ice, until you ran to an ice station to find out that they give it out at the front desk, or do they? Listen! We are all trying to get by with this COVID pandemic - give a family a break! Never staying here again. Horrible service (haven't even tried breakfast yet) and unhappy staff. Should have stayed at the Doubletree in Daphun. Don't bother.
