  Comfortable and quite

  Room is big and clean. Area is very quiet which is nice but also means you will need to drive a bit before you find a place to eat (no free breakfast). About 2.5 miles from the Norwood Central T station.

  Im waiting here!

  The location was ideal. The rooms are mediocre. Our room location was awful. We were nowhere near the elevator, but the elevator machinery was on the other side of the wall. Loud noises when anyone used the elevator. Some service was exceptional: when we needed extra towels we received them within a couple minutes. The negative review is primarily for 1 reason: the service at the Bistro. Breakfast was served from 6:30-9:30am. We arrived at 9:28; yes, cutting it close. The server was behind the counter on her cell phone, and we patiently waited for her to finish her call. While still on the call she turned off the machines, turned off the lights and left! I have 3 breakfast vouchers unused. That person should be fired for such behavior - unless, of course, that is Marriotts new standard of service. Back to LaQuinta for me.

  How could this be a Marriott!

  Very very disappointed in this hotel. Bistro was closed within the time it states it was to be open, hair found everywhere in room, seemed to be a dog or some short haired animal previously in the room, clearly not vacuumed well since our socks looked like a lint remover. Pillows smelt, after taking off pillow case, nasty stained pillows with no protective case, duvet was stained as well. Walk to our room off elevator was like a maze when we could have taken the stairs and it would have been easier and faster. Only good thing was the front desk staff, at least the check in and welcome was warm because the hotel was not. Would drive the extra distance to a nicer, cleaner hotel.

  Comfortable stay with improvements to be done

  Very friendly staff at front desk. Generally, the room was mainly clean and the bed comfortable. The fitness room was well equipped and clean. Overall the hotel needs renovation. Part of the bathroom with carpet not really hygienic to walk around with naked feet. Shower does provide much water so it tends to be cold while taking a shower. I had to clean the hairdryer before using it. There was dirt all of the device. The fridge was really noisy so I switched it of. One night, I had dinner in the hotel. The Cesar salad was ok. The chicken was precooked and heated up for the salad. Wasnt great since it was missing taste but alright. Without an ID, I was not able to get a glass of wine. After all, I am over 40 years old...

  Fantastic location and layout

  This hotel is in a very quiet suburban location but close to restaurants and a reasonable drive to the interstate. Norwood is a great area to access Boston from the south using I93 while avoiding heavy traffic on I90 or I95. The room layout was fantastic for more than one person in an extended stay. There were two bedrooms separated by the living room and kitchen. One bedroom had a king sized bed, the other a queen sized bed. Each had their own bathroom. There were TVs in each bedroom and the living room, although having only two remote controls was an inconvenience. Housekeeping should have had filled the wall-mounted soap and shampoo dispensers before check-in but was responsive when requested. Hand lotion was also missing until requested. They also cleaned the room the last night of our stay despite our request to avoid cleaning it so we could be friendly to the environment. There is only one thermostat for the unit and temperature was highly variable from hot in one bedroom to lukewarm in the middle living room to freezing in the other bedroom. But front desk staff were friendly, there was plenty of free parking and free wifi, and the breakfast buffet was okay (scrambled eggs, waffles, dry cereal, sometimes a few yogurts and bananas).
