  Another pleasant stay

  Typical Courtyard. Room was clean and comfortable. Location is close to a major intersection, but room was quiet and traffic noise was not an issue. Due to the location, its right turn only out of the parking lot, which can be a little bit of a challenge. Definitely worth a return trip if Im back in the area.

  Easy trip to the mountains

  First time and will be back. Went there for river tubbing but so much more to do and see. Usually have complimentary breakfast but with Covid they had little to go bags. Rooms are clean and nice. And less than mile to downtown Main Street. It does have a great little store right next to property with beer, wine , local cheese etc.

  Do not enforce mask law

  My wife selected this hotel based on their reputation and commitment to safety. Things seemed safe and nice upon check in. However, on Friday, we ate downstairs in the restaurant and things were very different. Many people were walking around in the lobby and restaurant without masks. Staff members said nothing which was unfortunate. When my wife approached the front desk member about this issue, she said she would alert a manager and have him/her call us. As you can guess, we never received a call. Very disappointing, especially to the Marriot brand as we have stayed in many across the world. I would recommend a B&B if you are concerned about safety. On a side note, the staff a Beech Mtn ski resort spent more time enforcing a mask policy than this hotel.

  Not worth the price

  Stayed at the Courtyard in Boone an was disappointed. The hotel rooms are outdated. The lobby area was nice a lot of seating area. The hotel has one elevator, and it is the slowest elevator I have ever been on. The owners need to have it replaced.

  overnight to ski App Mountain

  I'm not happy to be writing this review -- we are loyal Marriott travelers and my husband is silver elite status. But I feel compelled to let potential guests know that the Covid safety measures at this location were lax. There we unmasked guests hopping on the elevator with us, unmasked guests walking through the lobby, and a group of unmasked college students having an overnight party (a loud one) on our floor. I spoke with the desk agent about my concerns and tho she typed some things on her computer, nothing changed. There was no obvious spacing out of tables in the cafe area. Finally, the recyclables bin in our kitchen still had the last guests trash in it. At $370 a night we expect better. On the plus side the housekeeping staff was fantastic (5 stars!), and each room does have its own HVAC system.
