  Great Hotel

  Great hotel, great location, and great customer service. Tim was very welcoming and the room was clean. The location is wonderful, you can walk to dinner, dessert, and stroll along the river. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this hotel.

  Wedding shower

  This was the first shower that I've hosted. Being in a smaller town, there aren't a lot of options and I did not want to go with the same venues that everyone seems to use. It was also important to have a place a little more "upscale" that was "no-fuss" and "hassle-free". I wanted easy access with parking and a nice location. The Courtyard Marriott in Uptown checked off all those boxes. Stephanie coordinated everything seemlessly (being readily available to my many questions during the planning phase) and on the day of the shower, Cari managing everything very efficiently. Expecting a larger crowd, we had the option of The Uptown Grille catering our brunch and it was excellent! Thanks to Vinnie for also making sure that part went well. I had a lot of compliments from the guests on not only the venue, but the food, as well - some adding that it was one of the best showers they've been to. That meant a lot to me to get that kind of feedback. Did I mention that a COVID-19 pandemic decided to throw a black cloud over our planning? So even with all of that, to still have things turn out well - enough said!

  Wedding

  The hotel was perfect and gorgeous the staff was very friendly outgoing and helpful. Was there for a family wedding. When my sisters and I checked in Tim who was at the desk he was very friendly and helpful with a smile on his face.Later that night when I was in the lobby there was a young lady down there checking on the employees not sure who she was but that is great take time out of her busy schedule just to make sure her staff doesnt need anything. The rooms were gorgeous and very clean. Next time Im in bay city I will be staying here

  In town for a wedding

  I give this hotel a 5+ rating. Excellent places to stay. Very, very clean on the inside and well updated. Rooms were clean, comfortable beds and pillows. They have a Starbucks inside the hotel, a bar that has Happy Hour on Thursday nights (5-7), A bistro, an indoor heated pool and a few other extras. Great location and view of the Saginaw River with several restaurants (seafood, sushi, pizza and a steakhouse) just a few steps out the hotel door. I dont think I could say enough about how wonderful the staff was at this location. Absolutely the best and friendliest workers that I have ever come across at any hotel. They were very professional, friendly and went out of their way to make sure that you had a wonderful stay from the time you walked in and was greeted by the desk clarks to the staff in the Starbucks. From the cleaning service workers to the hotels sales person. Easy to locate in about a 20 minute drive to the MBS airport. We had booked a one night stay for Thursday, October 1, 2020 and checking out the following day to check in a different hotel closer to the wedding location which was an hour away. We decided to cancel the other reservations for the other hotel and stayed another night at the Courtyard by Marriott because of how awesome this place was. The extra hour drive to and from the wedding location was well worth it. You would not be disappointed in choosing to staying here. A big Thank You to all of the staffed. Yall done a great job and we enjoyed staying here. Would definitely stay here again. Aimee W.

  Work trip

  I have stayed at this hotel several times and the service has been outstanding. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. I would like to specifically compliment Cari McShane, Bistro Supervisor. The food was excellent and she went above and beyond to accommodate special requests. I will only stay here when in town!
