    Covid cleanliness was non existent

    Stayed one night in May. Hotel pretty empty, was told at front desk that some floors were closed for Covid cleaning. Was initially pleased to hear that until I got to my room. After 15 min of my own cleaning of hot spots with my Clorox wipes, I noticed a dirty damp wash cloth underneath bathroom counter and then discovered there was no toilet paper in the room. Called down to front desk who asked if I wanted to change rooms. I declined as I already spent time cleaning and didnt trust the next room would be any cleaner. Front desk staff came up to pick up dirty wash cloth and drop off toilet paper. Asked for extra points to be added to my stay after no apology given by front desk staff. Still have not received the extra points. Wont stay here again and beware of their extra special Covid cleaning bs.

    Very Dirty

    Do not stay here! When we arrived I checked the room over. I was horrified to find it filthy. The sheets had not even been changed, the carpet was dirty, the bathroom had pubic hair on the floor, the pull out bed was filthy, I could go on and on, about how dirty the room was. I called down to the front desk, and the sent someone to clean it, we left to allow her to clean, when we returned it was still dirty. The basic standards of this hotel are terrible. It was clear to me that no one cares about it. The manager never called me even though I requested it (no surprise there). Its honestly sad that during such a dangerous time, a corporate hotel is exposing people to such negligent conditions, there is no regard for people's health.

    great if you want to smell Marijuana in the halls on a whole floor

    The room was clean and nicely done. You only get clean towels once every 3 days. Clean sheets and bed made if you stay 7 days. No one took garbage or anything from the room. We got our own clean towels at the desk. That is when we learned of the policy. We stayed 3 nights so there was no sheets changed. Due to covid only 6 people allowed in the pool. The pool was non heated salt water pool. Besides room service, my complaint is the Marijuana in the second floor hallway ( our room on second) the minute you got off the elevator. THIS IS TO BE A NON SMOKING HOTEL. The front desk seemed surprised that was the case, I was told,those people face a fine. I doubt that happened. No breakfast. THE WEED IS MY ISSUE. I had grandchildren with me and had to explain the smell. When we got home there was a $60 dollar charge on our card that was not ours. THEY CLAIM it is a $20. 00 dollar a day charge service charge, THAT WAS RETURNED OFF THE BILL. But we did have to call about it. We were not forewarned. We chose this hotel thinking it was more upscale than the ones on the main road . Did get disappointment.

    2nd visit not so great

    We first visited this hotel in October 2020. The man who he night we checked in was the best (we learned on our 2nd visit he was on sick leave). It was because of him that we came back again. He was so accommodating, lighting the fire pit, going above and beyond to make sure we were settled in. Fast forward to November 2020 when we came back. Totally different check in experience. She was short and not approachable. I asked about the fire pit and got an I dont know if I can because it was late and might be windy (I hadnt even felt a single breeze - we even commented on that when we got there, and hat it wasnt windy like last time (and it was lit) and we were excited to have the fire). The fire pit for us was a selling point. Ok no big deal. We got our rooms and dropped our stuff off and left. Came back later that night and the elevators were down. My brother is handicapped with a cane. We asked how long they would be down and got I dont know, probably not long . So we decided to not pursue that since we had settled in and figured they would both be fixed soon. The next day, nope. Later that day we discovered it would be several days. Both elevators were down. On to our room - definitely could use a good cleaning. It wasnt disgusting, just a bit unused feeling. The phone didnt work, I here was only one set of towels (big towel, hand towel, rag) in a double bed room. Due to Covid, some of the hotel amenities were closed, which was understandable - but the pool was open? It wasnt open in October so I was a bit surprised. You cannot get clean towels but every few days (I had to ask for a 2nd set for my roommate) and the sheets not changed for like every 7 days. Also there was not a free breakfast, not even a continental (but I knew that). Overall I was just disappointed so much in the customer service and such. Now we are not sure if we will return our next visit. Its amazing how much that matter and the change in two months.

    Very disappointed

    I have stayed many nights at Courtyards across the US and this is my first negative experience. The room was not fresh and had a slight odor. The carpet did not appear to have been cleaned recently. The toilet took forever to fill the tank, the shower head leaked when turned off. It also had mold. I asked the Front desk clerk about coffee in the morning and she stated that due to COVID it was unavailable yet next morning we found a coffee set up in the lobby as we were leaving. Also, one elevator was out of service and the other was very slow. The carpet in the elevator was filthy and there were fingerprints and smears on the walls. The lobby womens restroom had one stall that was out of service and only one small roll of toilet paper in one of the other two stalls. Overall, it appears maintenance at this location has been neglected. With the COVID issues I would think extra effort would be put into cleanliness but what we found makes me question the effort being made to sanitize this property
