Make sure they are open before you book!I booked a king room through the Marriott app . Upon arrival, there was a sign on the door stating that all reservations were moved to the Residence Inn across the parking lot. This normally would not be a problem, but all the RI had was single queen beds, no kings and no doubles. They were very nice about letting me out of my reservation, but it was inconvenient having to go find somewhere else to stay. Not one word about this came up when I booked on the Marriott app. I have stayed here before and it is a standard Courtyard, I would normally give it a 4.5

Another delightful stayWe had the occasion to return to this wonderful hotel, even though we were leery of what COVID protocols were in place. We were pleasantly surprised that all employees were wearing masks, and I mean really wearing masks. There was no one with their masks under their nose or under their chin, which is like wearing no masks at all. The hotel and rooms were immaculate, even though many amenities were gone because of COVID stipulations. There were bottles of hand sanitizer everywhere, even in the elevator, and there were disinfecting wipes in the room when we arrived. Their was a bowl of disinfectant to drop your key cards in upon departure. Plexiglass was in place at the registration desk. I was impressed that the hotel not only cared about your safety but also the safety of their team. The General Manager, Paul Bolhuis, is amazingly gracious, as well as his entire team. We were impressed with Nestor Rodriguez and LaShawn. Hope I got their names right. My husband and I will definitely go back.

Watch Out For The Interstate SideIt's a nice hotel, very clean, a quick hop off the interstate, unusually number of restaurants within walking distance. Just do not stay on the interstate side. If that's all they have check out. 18 wheellers start running about 3 am and good luck sleeping.

Weekend trip/ LSU TourNot much good to say about this hotel. In fact, this is my first negative review. I booked two rooms for two nights, checked in Friday 10/17/2020. After requesting quiet room away from elevators, we were given two rooms next to extremely busy highway. All night- sirens, loud vehicles, motorcycles racing, horns etc ( but away from elevator). One of the rooms was for my son and his friend. In all fairness, they were fine. Wife and I on other hand- not so much. In addition to a noise lever akin to trying to sleep on an interstate median, we had no toiletries, soap, shampoo etc. Had to go down and get them. Room cleanliness was below par: brown specs of something between sheets, hair on sink and across bath floor. Nest day - after no sleep - told front desk clerk about noise issue. She said, 'well do something' and give you a call. We never got a call. Wife and I plugged through what was supposed to have been a great day with my son touring campus like exhausted zombies. Later that night when returning back to hotel, we had to purchase some waters. Mentioned noise issue again to a gentleman at the front desk. He stated he would look into it, but hotel was overbooked at moment. It was then that I saw my last name on a sticky pad on his desk - and mentioned that to him. He then realized that the desk clerk from that morning had reserved us new ( quieter? ) rooms. Again, we never got a call. Regretfully - it was after 10pm and our night was done. We thanked the gentleman but advised it was too late to begin that process. Certainly would have been nice to have known that at any time in past 12 hours. The experience was far from horrible, but also far from satisfactory.

Stay While Family Member in HospitalThe hotel is in a great location, has comfortable beds/pillows, and plenty of room. I was kind of shocked not to find a microwave in-room and the fridge was an odd ball type that you pushed a button to keep cool for only 2 hours. I had no clue it was this way and lost a lot of yogurt, milk, and leftovers. Other than that oddity, the stay was enjoyable. Breakfast bistro not opened, but had to-go sacks w/ pastries, fruit, string cheese, granola bar, bottled water, etc. I would stay again if I ever needed to.
