Peaceful and FriendlyMaurizio, the host, is a very friendly and cheerful guy. He has very good staff and they prepare excellent, varied meals each evening. Nice pool, great views and quiet tracks to walk. Breakfast is of the continental variety, self service and ample quantities. It is only about a 15 minute car trip to Citta Di Castello but it is so peaceful and quiet especially in the evenings. Recommended for a relaxing getaway.

Lovely placeI had only one night here but it is in a beautiful location. Lovely food, amiable host, nice room in the main house. The dining area outside has wonderful views. There are a range of activities to do if one has a longer visit. Worth a visit.

AMAZING PLACE AND LOVELY STAFF...JUST SO PERFECT!!!This place really deserves more than 5*...it's just so perfect! Getting here by car is the easiest and funniest way I would say. Driving all over these hills and throughout the true spirit of nature makes you feel deepened into the true essence of our mother land. Landscapes are amazing everywhere around, you will see green everywhere, trees, birds singing and a peaceful atmosphere very hard to find elsewhere! Mauricio is the owner, he's such a friendly and very smart person. He loves taking care of his guests, we really felt comfortable over there, almost like being at home with the difference of being into a paradise corner!!! They have a nice little white doggy they call 'THE DIRECTOR! They have a restaurant where food is amazing, starting from a healthy breakfast with lots of homemade cakes and muffins and coffes are just wow! We also had dinner here and we found it so good! Especially the 'Lasagna al Tartufo' (Lasagna with fresh truffle which is a speciality of the area!). We've fallen in love with this place, Mr Mauricio will tell you lots of tips and show things around (there is a hidden lake literally 15min walk from there into the nature, don't miss it! The view is breathtaking!). We stayed in the Capriolo apartment, a historic place where even a Pope had slept many years ago!! Isn't that fantastic to know?!? They have a swimming pool which we didn't use only because it was September so I guess in summer would be so nice to be relaxing by it! I would highly recommend this piece of paradise to any guests from families to couples in need of rest and relax, me and my girlfriend will definitely come back many other times!! Mille grazie Mr Mauricio!!! 10+

StunningWe found this place by googling local accommodation on our journey through Italy to Greece. We fancied somewhere a little way out and this is certainly what we got. Think Google maps took us a different route which was very rugged and remote - we lost signal and thought wed end up in the middle of nowhere but after stopping a couple of people and showing them the name of the place we eventually got there. The guy running the place spoke perfect English. We had phoned ahead to book a room but when he saw I was on crutches following a recent knee operation, he put us in a cottage rather than climbing stairs in the main house. The cottage was lovely and apparently a pope had stayed there before! It was very cold inside (as hadnt been prepared) but they turned the heating up and soon warmed up. We ate in the restaurant there and enjoyed a lovely meal with beautiful local red wine. Breakfast in the morning was continental and they made us omelette as well. This is definitely the place for getting away from it all !
