  A two night stay while cycling around Umbria in October

  As others have said,this really is a fabulous place to stay. We were made so welcome, the house is beautiful, wonderful hot showers and comfy beds just perfect after a days cycling in this beautiful part of Italy. Breakfasts and dinner were really delicious we both would have liked to stay longer!

  Perfect

  I realised yesterday that I have done 250 reviews and staying here I have finally found a place that is perfect . All the compliments paid by other reviewers are true . Luigi is a wine expert and tasting the sagrantini or grechetto wines is a must do ! His wife cooks marvellous food and his sister Carla is a lovely hostess . A 5 star stay ! Thanks

  Superb hotel in a great holiday destination.

  We had a superb few days here. Booked the 2 bedroom suite which was spacious, beautifully decorated, spotless and well equipped. The hotel and its grounds are beautiful and well kept, and the hotel is perfectly situated to visit the beautiful Roman towns around. The pool was glorious, and more or less private for us non cyclists. However a swimming cap is essential!!! The breakfast had a great selection of meats, fruit, cakes savoury and sweet, home made and different every day. We had our evening meals there. Superb food. 25 euros pp for 3 courses. Fantastic home cooking. Luigi was fantastic on our wine choices, so knowlegeable and we managed to try a few great bottles! He also sourced a Fiorentina steak and showed us how to grill it. Highlight of the week! The hosts Carla and Luigi are super friendly, courteous and beautiful people. We loved it here and could easily stay longer. There's so much to see and do here.

  Wonderful Stay

  My family of four had an amazing time at the Country House. The apartment (Le Coste) was spacious, clean, comfortable and was very well equipped. We were fortunate to have dinner prepared for us on our first night and boy, was it delicious. Also, the cappuccino's that Carla prepared for us in the mornings were the best we had! And the pool - WOW. I don't regret any of the hours I spent lazing around there. If you're looking to combine good wine, good food, exploring hilltop towns and relaxation, this is the place for you.

  The best food we had in Italy!

  My husband and I stayed here for two nights in late September as part of a bike tour. We were very pleased with the nice quiet location and the one bedroom apartment we had was quite spacious. We enjoyed swimming in the salt water swimming pool. Carla was a gracious host and she prepared the best food we had in Italy! Dinners were a three course affair with a pasta dish - one night stringozzi with pomodoro sauce, and the other night ravioli. Second course was a nice pork loin with salad and the other night a lovely salad with beef strips. And the desserts were tasty, as well. There were a wide variety of pastries and fruit and cereals at breakfast. We would highly recommend staying here and would return if we were fortunate enough to visit this beautiful part of the world.
