  Lovely little cottage but not during hot weather

  The cottage is lovely, nestled in bushland about 20 mins from Pokolbin with an outdoor spa that was a real treat. Unfortunately the aircon had a 2 hour timer preset to a temperature that couldnt be adjusted to our individual needs, very uncomfortable & inconvenient especially as we arrived on a 37*C day. Our package included a lovely fresh breakfast basket, a bottle of local Shiraz & some choccies. No wifi & intermittent mobile phone service gives you a peaceful break.

  accessible trip

  A warm greeting by John one of the owners as we pulled up outside reception after a long drive from Sydney. We were given the keys to cottage number 2 and we were not dissapointed. Being in a wheelchair it's important to have the room to get around and have a fully accessible bathroom. Breakfast was provided which our son cooked on the barbecue. My wife was resting in the hammock when a Wallaroo came by, so close to nature and the wild with the continuous sound of Bell Birds. Kangaroos were seen in the paddock on a few occasions. A feather tailed glider was hiding in the hammock (smallest Possum). If you want to visit the Hunter Valley and want something different then this is the place to go. Thoroughly recomended for a wheelchair user.

  Wonderful secluded getaway

  My partner and I wanted a quiet and peaceful weekend away for my Birthday and Cottages on Mount View did not disappoint! The scenery on the way to the property is beautiful. The property itself is so quiet.....all we could hear was the bird life. The cabin is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Bathroom is spotless and spacious.The bbq is clean and easy to use. It was nice to sit outside on the verandah with a cuppa in the mornings. The only suggestion we could make is to have some paper towel available so guests can clean the bbq properly after use as we like to leave everything as we found it when we arrived. We absolutely loved the outdoor spa under the stars. The owners are friendly and helpful. We WILL be back and hope to make it at least a yearly or twice yearly destination.

  40th Getaway

  What a place to stay. Tucked away, not too far from town and the wineries. Secluded and sensational. Neat getaway to share time away with a lived one or family or even solo. Fully equipped, nothing needed. Great place with great hosts. Couldn't have picked anywhere better to stay.

  Gorgeous little escape - will be back!

  My husband and I and our 8 month old just left the cabin and were already looking forward to going back! Such a gorgeous little escape. Far enough away for peace and quiet, but close enough to still enjoy the Hunter and wine tasting experience. Weve been to the Hunter a lot and normally stay closer to the hub, but this was a delightful change. Would highly recommend if youre interested in leaving behind the internet and having quality time with your partner or family. ...definitely recommend getting a cabin with a spa too. Very private and nice to enjoy the surroundings with a wine or two. Also, owners are so lovely and very accomodating! Thanks for a great stay :)
