Repetiremos.

Nice place, but not my roomLe Cottage is a very nice property almost on the water front. The restaurant is quite good. The staff is hit and miss, the owners are helpful and lovely, the support staff is distinctly French and frequently appeared to be annoyed or inconvenienced, at least based on how we Americans interpret signals. There were some hiccups for me...my room was a tiny single, there was barely room for anything, i looked out onto a building despite it being called "garden" view and heard kitchen noises and plates clanging whenever i had my windows opened. Thankfully, the air conditioned worked well since France has been awfully hot this summer and i kept the windows closed. Though, being on the lake there seem to be a cooling effect, and it goes without saying, the lake is amazing in every way. The rooms have no technology ports and are not really set up to do any work, which i needed to do, but is not often the case with the French when they are on holiday. If i had a better room I'd be more favorable inclined so please do check which room you will get. I tried to upgrade and they had nothing available. The breakfast is nice, it has some of the best bread you will ever eat, but all eggs other than boiled are extra charge. The coffee is not so great, they need to improve that, and there is no coffee machine or hot water machine in the room. The bathroom is modern and nice, though mine was cramped...again, i had a small room which was problematic for me. The town is wonderful, lots of good restaurants, etc. Get a big room facing the lake and you'll be very happy.

Memorable stay / Séjour inoubliableMy family (incl. two boys of 7 & 12) recently stayed in Le Cottage and had a wonderful time. The location (setting by the lake) is fabulous but above all the attention from the extremely friendly and professional team made our three nights really memorable. We had half-board and the breakfasts and dinners on the terrace were excellent with the quality of the food for the dinner of particular note. Despite the covid measures, the hotel was extremely clean, all safety measures were taken care of (staff wore masks/served the bkfst buffet) and we managed an excellent relaxing time including by the pool and jacuzzi which is a real plus. You get a free ride on the tour boat of Annecy; the pedalo and kayak which is managed by a very helpful young team just in front of the hotel (not part of the hotel but very reasonable in price if you want more use of their boats). I seriously can't wait to come back and catch up with the manageress and her team who run the hotel very much as a family affair but with the sophistication of a five-star. Bravo!!

A beautiful slice of heavenThis hotel is charming, the main asset is the staff who all seem to sing from the same hymn sheet with a quiet efficiency that provides you with very good service without being intimidating. There is a very relaxing feeling everywhere within the hotel, from coffee on the terrace to an evening meal under the trees. Swimming in the Lake is just gorgeous. The weather was changeable when we were there but this did not detract from our enjoyment. On our first day, which was dull, we took advantage of the two free tickets the hotel provides for the local boat that did an omnibus tour of the lake. Our room was about right in size (although a little small compared to some hotels) and provided a small seating area. An amazing view of the lake - please pay the extra cost for this it is well worth it. It was kept beautifully clean by staff and there is a turn down service too which is a nice touch. The pool is private, clean and heated plus there is a hot tub which was great on the dull day mentioned above. We were there on a half board basis which gives you a set menu with a choice of two items for the main course. All the meals were good. There is a small cabin, selling small snacks and drinks near the pool. Talloires has a supermarket a short walk up the hill and a couple of other cafe/bistros where we enjoyed lunch one day. We had lunch on the hotel terrace one day and this was really delicious. We will definitely return.
