  Over the top

  Baseline: 2 nights + half board, wellness hotel. We spent there 2 nights and I have to say it was a disaster. Let us start with the positive topics: the staff is polite and gentle. Except the blond middle aged lady in the restaurant area. Negative: Restaurant area is minimal. Advice: forget the half board. The food has exceptionally low quality. Even the coffee is terrible. Breakfast: you have to wait to get in if you go between 8-9, it is just full. The salami and the sausage has very low quality. The coffee is some powder liquid. I asked for an espresso it was awful as well. The food is normally salty. Dinner: tasteless we went out to eat...Also you have to sign your room number before dinner to get into the restaurant area. We did that. However to blond middle aged lady just jumped front of us and asked us quite aggressively if we did it or not. If you ask for something outside the half board you have to pay right there they do not allow you to add it to the room and pay when leaving the hotel. Later we saw the same lady sitting on the ground the dish is between her legs and washing it in the middle of the restaurant (after they closed it). One storage container. It is so unprofessional. Never try the spaghetti salad. It is raw pasta with some ketchup mix on the top...you do not want to eat that. Room: we had a superior room. It is big and stinky. Old fashioned. The tv worked the channels became blur time to time. The offered free wireless has never worked. Wellness: simply do not call this to wellness please. One sauna and a pool kind of thing. It just does not look hygienic. The tourists fee of course you can pay only by cash...I do not even understand.... Gyula is beautiful there are good restaurants, the bath is fantastic, there are good hotels but I do not recommend this one. This will ruin your stay.

  Cleanliness

  We stayed here for two nights with a baby boy. The room could have been cleaner, but wasn't as bad as the bathroom, which was quite molded... obviously not the best if you go with a young child. On the other hand we could play a good together in the better equipped toy-room.

  Very good if you stay in Corvin Hotel, not in A.B.C Apartman

  I made a reservation via Booking witch included breakfast. Arrived at the hotel i just find out that the breakfast is not included and the room is at 1.2km away from the hotel at other apartman on Kalvin street 16 !!! When i arrived there, i found a cold room, with nothing in common with the advertised pictures at the site, mold on wall, no wi-fi. The bed was not changed, in horrible condition, room wit old dirty toys... bleah :( I returned to Corvin Hotel where the receptionist apologized and give us another room witch was very good. So, i'll go again but only in the Corvin Hotel apartmans witch are in Jokay Moor Str not at their apartmans from Kalvin Str 16.

  Palinka and wellness

  Excellent place. We have choosen the Star Wars room, where Vader scared me every morning:)) Food is perfect, wide selection for breakfast, dinner, lunch. Jacuzzi, sauna, the center is not far away. You can buy palinka and traditional food in the hotel for good price.

  Interesting and relaxing

  The hotel is good considering it is not really near any larger city. The staff were friendly but not overly enthusiastic or welcoming beyond the "hello, how can I help you" but that was enough. The small city is really beautiful and well-kept, only a few popular restaurants which are completely booked it seems, but we got in. As hotels go this was a pleasent stay, we would go baCK.
