  What a disappointment

  Old, tired, hard to believe it's a Holiday Inn. The side entrances had broken doors so no room key needed to get in, no hand sanitizer in any of the receptacles placed, hot water took over 5 minutes of running before it was warm enough to shower in. The hotel is dark and dingy and sadly not what I expected.

  Very Good Value

  Decent hotel , Good price , clean and convenient .Friendly hotel with good amenities and boxed breakfast. Fall visit to see vermont colors and will be sure to revisit and recomment holiday inn to others

  Horrible smell really bad.

  We stay for 1 night and this is the worst hotel I ever stay, smell disgusting like you sleeping with people smoking all night next to you. If you are a smoker and dont mind go for. Other wise stay away from this place.

  Excellent accomodations

  Excellent customer service , Well appointed hotel and conveniently located in rutland. Clean and comfortable and all the covid protocols , social distancing and everyone was wearing masks . We will be sure to return .

  not a bad place to stay

  My house does not have Air Conditioning and it was one of those SUPER HOT summer days we had in Vermont last year (2020). So I decided enough was enough, and found a deal online for 2 nights at this hotel and said SURE. Check in was good, nice front desk worker. I did mention that my husband has some trouble walking due to a health issue, so the closer we could be the better. We were SO far away from the desk it was not even funny. I felt like we were in the shining, turning down this hallway, then another, and even another. I had asked if we could use a side door and was told no, that due to Covid they were only allowing the front door use. Yet other cars were parked in the lot by side doors. I had reserved a king room as it was a special treat of a vacation, and being on the larger side both my hubby and I like the king bed. I paid king room prices, yet we did not get a room with a king bed. We got one with 2 queens. I was not happy, was not even told at check-in that I did not get the room I paid for. I guess they wanted me to be surprised. Plus the room was SOOOOOO hot. I could have cooked an egg. I cranked the A.C on as quick as I could. and it did cool the room down, but it took awhile. We settled in, and had a good evening in the A.C. Too bad it was still hot at night, and apparently the A.C don't run all night, because I could not sleep at all either night, because the A.C would shut off and the room would get so unbelievably hot. I sweat through my pajamas it was so hot in the room. The next day the A.c was fine all day, and we enjoyed being able to beat the heat. I did call down to the front desk for more towels and the woman at the desk was very polite, and brought them right down to us. That night was another night of no sleep due to extreme heat in the room with the lack of A.C working all night. If I wanted to sweat all night and not sleep, i would have just saved the money and stayed at home for free and sweated. We noticed people coming and going from the side doors, so I said you know what, Im not making my poor husband hobble down those insane halls, im parking on the side and coming in a side door. There were not working key locks on the doors anyways so it was not a problem. I might stay here again if the price was right, but it would not be my first choice of places to stay in the area. Many nicer places with im sure working A.C.
