Most stunning place to spend any day of your lifeWether it is wintertime, summer-or in between times, this is the place to spend the most peaceful and gorgeous days of your vacation. As the pool, SPA with all the incredible Saunas at all temperatures are available all day included in the price, there is no need for sunny weather outside. I really want to mention the special quality of the venue due to the CRISTALS, which are all over the place, causing this very special energy! Just try the steam bath sitting or laying on rosequarz...unbelievable experience! Even the rooms are signed with a particular semi-precious stone ingraved in the wall, not to mention the beauty of the room and its balcony, full of colored flowers. All in all one of the best places I have ever been, finally enjoying the delicious food mornings and evenings. Thank you Hotel Corona for enriching my life! Edith Floess

Disappointed, I don't recommendAfter having read so many good reviews on this hotel I expected a lot more. First of all, a very cold welcome from the owners, better to say "inhexistant welcome". Also while paying the bill while leaving, the receptionist didn't even dare to ask how our stay was. I think this is a minimum we can expect from a family run hotel. Athmosphere in general in the hotel is very cold, absolutely no "fengshui", I'm still trying to find the magic of crystals to be honest. Regarding food: service was very slow, disorganized and food was just average. Every evening was a challenge, the waiters did their best but all the staff (including kitchen) is obviously lacking experience or need a leading boss maybe. The buffet (morning, afternoon and evening) was just ok, "cantine style" not worth 4 stars. The room was spacious. However very noisy due to the historical building features (some regular noise from the room upstairs and some hammer noise at moments, although the receptionist said there were no works going on in the building...strange... Terrible smell coming from the toilets the last day of our stay and shower gel/shampoo empty and not refilled in. The swimming pool is nice and big, probably one of the only positive point in the hotel. However the spa area needs some checks. The hammam tenperature was not at high enough and only one of the 3 saunas was warm enough. I tried to find some more positive points but could not and can not recommend this hotel unfortunately. San Vigilio offers some good quality food, shops, restaurants. It probably makes sense to rent a flat in the village instead if you don't want to be disappointed.

Ski holiday, half boardFive star rating for every aspect from comfortable large bedrooms, wonderful meals with great choices, pool/ saunas, and easy access comfortable ski room. Even more importantly all the staff were most welcoming, cheerful and helpful. It is situated in the centre of the village a short walk from lifts.

Centrally-located mountain hotel with a lovely indoor pool in San Vigilio (Südtirol)We stayed 1 week in this centrally-located hotel and celebrated X-mas (together with our 2 children). Overall, we liked the hotel and in part. the swimming pool (incl. the whirlpool, the crystals-decorated cave and the rain shower). Food and service were very good and quantity was rel. big (esp. at dinner time, where one course could easily be cut out). In contrast, the jauze was rel. poor (esp. when compared to those weve tried in other 4* hotels in Südtirol) and items were usually not replenished. In addition, staffs focus was the visitors of the in-house Café-Konditorei. There is an old piano in the fireplace-room and a very cosy games room, (which our kids were not interested to test/go to). In summer young kids can play at the small playground at the back of the Hotel. Our suite was very big and offered a balcony with beautiful views, a massage chair and a separate walk-in closet. Pity it dont not provide for any kind of room division (so we all ended up sleeping in the same room). However, the hotel appears to have bigger suites with a living and 1 or 2 separate bedrooms. The indoor garage is also rel. compact and cars have to be parked extremely close to e.o. (preferably, by the hotel-owner). Skiarea Miara can be reached by the local ski-bus (no shuttle bus from the Hotel). Other slopes are reachable by short walk from the back side of the Hotel. An added advantage is the slope for sledging just across the Hotel's main entrance. The visit of Santa Claus on X-mas Eve was superfluous and our kids were extremely disappointed. We knew that he'll pass by and bring kids a little something, but the way this visit was organised was below any standards...
