  Terrible from beginning

  "Cornul Vanatorului" is an amazing place to be, located in the Trivale Forest (15-20 minutes from downtown) but in the same time a terrible place to stay at. I would like to start this in-depth review by mentioning all things happened chronologically. I have arrived at the venue around quarter past three (15:15) and I was looking for a parking spot. There are multiple spots outside, on the shoulder of the road and around 20 inside the hotel. The Check-In was.. disappointing, terrible and inefficient. When I entered the hotel with my girlfriend, the front-desk agent was speaking at the phone. I told her I made a booking, she called the housekeeping maid to ask if the room is ready (check-in starts at 14:00; ET of check-in: 15:30). While she was looking for my reservation, I started completing the Check-In Form I used to write my name, date of arrival/ departure and signature and she told me to fulfil all the fields (things such as ID Number (CNP) and my ID Number (serie i numar de buletin), I asked why and she told me "Because we need it." ("C-aa trebuie."). I took the room card and start going to the famous room no. 206 but the FO Agent started screaming after me to tell her my birth place, age and things. I mean, screaming.. I was at the first floor and she was still screaming to - VERY UNPROFESSIONAL -. When I arrived at the room, I found my keys put in the door (then why do I need the room card?). The card wasn't working to unlock the door.. maybe that's why I needed those keys. Anyway, the electricity in the room works as well without the room card inserted in the slot. A maid suddenly jumped in front of me telling that she will put towels in the room soon I told her I will leave the hotel in 20 minutes until midnight -. The room was quite spacious and clean, excepting the hair found near the toilet (SERIOUSLY?).. I found also three towels (two big and one small), three small plastic shower gels and 2 soaps in the bathtub, and another two soaps on the sink. These are all the amenities.. I haven't found any slippers, robes and normal 3 stars amenities. The bed was quite comfortable but the pillows were awful (just 2). Other point of view.. charge yourself with energy because in the room you'll find only two outlets behind the bed on a side only (hidden, and one was for the lamp), two behind the TV (one for AC and one free). I found very funny that on the other side of the bed was a small lamp.. but no outlet at its close.There are as well only two light switches (one near the door and one behind the desk - very inaccessible). The TV was big, which I like, but the signal was poor; also, the remote wasn't working very well. Wi-Fi in the room.. yes, it is, but it's not working. Or it was working very slow.. Air Conditioning was a mess. When I turned it on, it started creaking like hell. Should I mention that it turned on itself at 5 in the morning and after I turned it off.. has it started again? The Mini-Bar was.. empty. Nothing inside. E-M-P-T-Y. I wanted to call the Front Desk but guess what, there was no phone number for the Front Desk near/on the phone? So I put some shorts on and went straight to the Front Desk.. Nobody was there. The same lady appeared from a back office and asked her to give me some still cold water.. Nah, she had only sparking water at the room's temperature so she advised me to go to the terrace and buy from the mini-bar. Nice though. Outside, it was a traditional live music session (very nice music) and still busy. A waiter came and I asked her to give me three waters.. 4 RON/each - reasonable. The Breakfast was.. OK. There are 4 menus at the Front Desk, you pick up what you want, receive a small paper and give it to the waiter on the terrace. Our waiter was Denisa who was really efficient - nice serving and kept an eye over our table. I asked her to replace the ham with bacon. She asked us if we want tea or coffee. The coffee was good, not amazing but not terrible (huh). Maybe the bread was.. awkward - not very sure if it was stiff or old. The butter wasn't cold, it was warm.. strange right? I went back to the room, packed our staff and leave. I'll never come back to stay there We're blessed we survive there maybe only to eat something on the very nice terrace.

  Huye mientras puedas. HORRIBLE

  No vengas a este hotel, es horrible. Sólo dormí una noche y por necesidad. Cuando llegas al hotel parece muy bonito, con sus cabañas a los lados, las luces. Pero cuando accedes a la recepción se vuelve siniestro, un hotel abandonado, la piscina casi sin agua. La chica de recepción es muy amable, pero la pobre la dejan dormir en un sillón al lado de recepción, en vez de dejarla descansar por la noche. En cuanto entras a los pasillos, ya huele mal. La moqueta apesta en todo el hotel. Nuestra habitación tenía la puerta rota,nada más entrar la TV estaba encendida, el baño apestaba a orines y estaba el suelo lleno de pelos. Daba asco dormir allí,el aire acondicionado se encendía cada 2x3. Y tenían un grupo electrógeno que no paró en toda la noche. Sinceramente he tenido una gran experiencia en Rumania,salvo en este lugar. Que te recomiendo 100% que huyas y no vayas. No te guíes por la entrada, engaña. Y caro para la basura que es.

  Made for a nice weekend trip

  On the "plus" side, the hotel and the room were clean, smelled nice, and was quite quiet. On the "meh" side, it was a bit of a pain in the neck trying to find a parking spot when we got there, since they were hosting a baptism party. The breakfast was also meh. You have 4 "choices" which are more or less the exact same thing - the classical "Continental" breakfast, with no twist. On the "oh man, why" side, hotel guests are not always aware there are other people staying over, so they find it quite ok to, say, take a screaming infant for a stroll on the hallways at 3 am in the morning because the infant's father can't stand their screams. Not a fault of the hotel though.

  Very good price/quality report

  I only spent one night and didn't ate there. I am pleased that there vere enough parking places and also the room price was very good. The room has all the normal features, I was pleasantly surprised because teh room is very big. Other than that you can see the furniturea nd everithing that this is a only 3 star hotel. The location is nice, quiet.

  So glad I'm only staying here one night

  There's somebody else's sh*t floating in the toilet and the water in the sink is yellow. WAY too noisy until very late at night and impossible to sleep. Horrible. There was loud music playing way past midnight, 3 different ones from different locations and you can hear everything. Especially the loud bass that makes your head want to explode. No notification about that noise was made either. People shouting and children screaming into the night didn't help. Feels like trying to sleep inside a club or a slaughterhouse. The waiter gave us different drinks from what we asked for and the food was really bad. Garbage place. Don't recommend at all if you want to stay here to rest.
