Cute and ClassyCoral Lodge was such a great find. The lodge is set on a beautiful peninsula just of Ilha Mozambique, with the best of both worlds, a breathtaking beach one side and a stunning lagoon and marshland teh other. The rooms are luxurious with all the modern cons and beautiful views of the beach/ sunrise or lagoon/sunset. Riccardo and Filipa are a fantastic management couple and really care about their guests soo much and want them to have the best time. The boats/ kayaks and snorkelling equipment are all brand new and in fantastic condition, I was lucky to have great whale sightings too. The food is very tasty and complimented by a wonderful team of staff who always go the extra mile. Don't forget the in house tailer who is excellent. love my new chitenje jacket!!

Jem in a paradise placeWe spent our family holidays in the place of our dreams. We were travelling with our 3 years old daughter and we wouldnt have choosen a better place. She spent all her days Playing on the velvet beach in complete peace and freedom. Sorrounded by the christal sea and astonishing nature we felt like in a lost paradise. This place is so precious because is unique, not commercial. The warmth of the people working in the lodge Made us feel like kings and queens. Luxury and care of every little detail are the best words to describe Coral Lodge. Everything was perfect from the delicious food, to the beautiful and spacious Villa on the beach. Best thing to do besides al the words is to book a Villa and go there as soon as possibile!

Magnificent Mozambique, Lovely LodgeWe stayed for 3 nights in an ocean facing family villa. Was a wonderful room that our children loved and we did too. The beds were comfortable and all we needed was there. Sitting on the front deck watching the wonderful tides and colors was lovely. Beto and his team made sure everything and everyone were happy. They set up a meal on the beach, one by the pool and another under a gorgeous tree with a fire. The food was consistently amazing. The cocktails and wines available were great. The grounds are gorgeous to walk around. We kayaked around the mangrove. The boat transfer to/from Ilha is an experience one will remember forever. Coral Lodge is simply wonderful, and the part of Mozambique it is situated on us breathtaking. We can not recommend it enough, and we cant wait to go back!

Stunning site, postcard perfectI spent 6 nights here from September 25 2020. The location is superb. It rests on a small peninsula, with the sea on one side and a laguna on the other, and crossed by a mangrove chsbel. There's a large tidal zone with a deep natural pool at the end of a small channel. At low tide you have to walk around 600 mts to get to the sea. At high tide you get it at your door. The colors of the water and sand and rocks are just stunning. With the sails of the dhows, it makes it photo perfect. The facility matches the beauty of the place. The huts are exquisite, with a beautiful decor. The staff is excellent, very professional and very friendly. The food (we chose mostly the seafood option) is equally excelent, cooked by two young chefs trained on site by professional chefs brought from somewhere else; their teachers should be proud of their students. You have to ask for smaller portions if you care about your waist line. You must be ok with pets. There were 6 friendly dogs and a cat on site. They love to interact with the guests. Besides walks to both sides of the beach, and some swimming and snorkeling at the chanel natural pool (lots of fish, some surprisingly big, even at low tide), there are a few special activities organized by the management or outsourced from the island - sailing cruises, powered sea safaris when the whales are around, boating tours along the mangrove chanels, up to the local village with a walking tour of the village, from where most of the staff is recruited and trained on site. There are also kayaks, but it's difficult to kayak in the chanel because of the tidal currents. So better to use them at the sea. There's also a moderate size infinity pool, but I prefer the chanel natural pool. Finally the managers are also extremely nice. At the end of our stay we got one of the most beautiful farewells one can think of. So, if you want a beautiful and historical place to spend some beach days in Moçambique, Coral Lodge is a highly recommended option, perhaps complemented by a few nights at one of the beautiful lodges at the actual Island of Mozambique.
