  No Magic Here

  David Copperfield is an american magician,you wont find any magical illusions here. Beside the sea it is not,and it is very dated in it's appearance. HOWEVER you will find a motel very close to 5 or 6 eating establishments of various tastes,you are one small block from the waterfront/and or Golf course so a 5min walk will access the delights of the shopping district and restaurants,or the 1st Tee... The room was comfortable with great walk in shower..If you are using a wheelchair room #3 has a shower the size of a double bed all nicely tiled.. Bed was comfy but TV played up due to a wiring problem.Renovations/upgrades are planned so they say but the place looks tired... Great friendly service from check in to check out but really it's just a very basic motel with no frills.Carparking layout is unusual,and you will here traffic and aircraft noise mainly in the morning...

  Interisland Ferry transit stop

  Well located for ferry departures. Clean. Parking. Near shops, restaurants and beach. Needs an upgrade but site difficult. Priced accordingly. Staff friendly and helpful. Pets allowed with some rules to be followed.

  Great Base

  Stayed here during the Wellington leg of our North Island holiday. While not exactly in Wellington it served well for those areas we wanted to visit. The Motel is getting a little dated, but the manager informed us it has recently changed hands and the new owners want to spruce the old tart up, so it should be a great place to stay soon enough, not that it's not great now. The rooms are generous in size and the beds super comfy. The night we booked in the Motel was full, including the room above ours. All night we heard nearly every movement that was made in that room. Next morning I mentioned that, just in passing, to the Manager and the following night she moved a booking out of that room to another. Now, that's what I call service. The room was lovely and clean, with plenty of coffee, milk, sugar and tea on hand for our use. The shower was great, as was the unexpected spa bath. The Manager was really nice and told us several places to eat, even ringing one restaurant for us to ensure they would be open. If you choose to stay here, keep an eye out for 'Molly" the Motel Moocher. She's a lovely friendly cat, who just loves a pat and a play. Ask the Manager how she came to be the Complex cat as well - it's a lovely story. I'm looking forward to staying here again one day.

  Is it still open?

  We arrived on Christmas day 2018 to find this hotel closed up and appearing abandoned. We had a confirmed reservation. We stayed with friends in their very small flat for 2 nights instead and have no idea what has happened to this hotel.

  Comfort in Paraparaumu

  This place has everything that you need to make you relax after a busy day. Its close to Shops, Restaraunts and the beach. Paraparaumu beach is a very pleasant beach to spend time at. The main shopping centre at Paraparaumu is only a 5 minute drive also. this is where the top supermarkets are situated
