DisappointingWe stayed one night, and while I had been excited to spend the night in such a historic place, I was glad we didn't stay longer. Pros: -Gorgeous exterior -Beautiful view of Bisbee during a summer rainstorm -Easy walk from all the shops and downtown Bisbee -Cool "old-timey" claw foot tub Cons: -Was promised that the room would include two cots before I booked the room, and requested them ahead of time. Got there and was told that the room would not fit a cot. We had to shift the bed and render the room almost unusable to fit the cot inside. The sheets on the cot had hairs and a dead moth on them. -Front desk staff was not receptive or helpful regarding our bedding issues. -We booked because we were excited about the saloon and the pool. Both were closed.

Fun Retro HotelWe were able to stay at this hotel while we were doing a bicycle ride across southern Arizona orchestrated by #BubbaSPamperedPeddlers. We were assigned a very comfortable Houdini room while another of the riders was delighted to stay in the John Wayne suite. The bar located down stairs exits out onto a balcony overlooking the street below so we could enjoy outdoor seating. The two bartenders were hard-working friendly folks. We would definitely choose to return to this hotel in Bisbee.

Could be great but sadly isnt.It was actually another hotel property (my first choice) that recommended Copper Queen as they were full. I thought it a safe bet to go with their suggestion...sadly I was mistaken. I enjoy the history of the town and the heritage of the hotel but it really needs to address a few things to keep the appeal. The room, while a nice size was sooooooo stuffy and I felt like a could barely breath . Perhaps the altitude played a factor, but I think the fact that windows cant be opened creates a problem, especially now in a pandemic. Room was clean but...again stuffy. Maybe the carpet could use a cleaning? We were assured by a very nice front desk staff that the food in the 1st Floor saloon was delicious. Here to tell you not so much. When traveling food is such an important part of the journey...Ive gone back to various hotels because I distinctly remember the dining experience...at Copper Queen Saloon they offer up a very basic menu. We had the French Dip and some very basic chicken tenders. Average and non memorable to say the least. The people at the bar however were absolute sweethearts though! The town is visited by so many people I just think a little sprucing up would go a long way and of course make for guests whod return time and time again.

Great and not so greatIf you are into history or old fashioned, you will want to stay here. We dd. We got the Teddy Roosevelt room. It was a nice big room, we loved it. We weren't so crazy about actully using a claw foot tub to shower in, having limted internet upstairs, and as this is winter we had a hard time regulating the temperature between very cold and very hot. A continental breakfast was offered but the room they served it in was very chilly. This place has the potential to be a knockout, but won only by a split decision.
