    Comfy, friendly...

We just stayed over for a night before entering Kruger. We had a very friendly welcome especially as we had arrived late, and were shown our room and how to operate TV etc. The room was comfy - aircon a must in summer - but could do with some attention to details - fuzzy TV in kne room, no wine glasses. Small things but needed if want to become more "five rated". The gardens and pool area are really nice and worth a stroll around.

    NOT LUXURY AT ALL!!!

This lodge is no star definitely. The ONLY thing that deserves a star is the newly build swimming-pool. This is about the only luxury to the lodge. We only stayed one night before entering the Kruger. The staff are very friendly. The room clean and comfy. The much needed aircon a blessing!! Breakfast was ok. Two eggs, bacon, toast, 2 sausages. They do serve filter coffee now. The location is not good. However we felt save.

    Forget the luxury

The expression "luxury" does not apply. A more truthful would be"rustic" and "very basic". We asked what we could get to eat from the restaurant. Instead of an answer we received a cross examination that led no where. After asking we got keys for the door between the two units. The lock only worked once before it broke down, so we couldn't use the second bathroom since we were looked out. It was not possible do close the door between the toilet and the kitchen. When we brought someone out to fix it the whole thing fell apart. Unfortunately the staff had no interest in solving the problem for us. When we flushed the toilet the first time it flooded the entire bathroom. It was a terrible smell. Since there was no door the kitchen got too smelly to use, and since the door between the bedroom and the kitchen was too big for the frame it started to smell into the bedroom as well. The staff had no interest in solving the problem for us. We got scared of touching things since things just kept breaking, so we just wanted to leave the place as soon as possible

    Overnight Camping

I would also not call it Luxurious but for overland travelling it was more than perfect. The staff was extremely friendly and the ablutions was clean and there was enough hot water for all off us to shower (6 adults and 4 children). We got a really nice camping spot and the staff brought us a HUGE pile of fire wood free of charge. With less than 15km from the Punda Maria gate I would say it is really good value for money if you can not/do not want to stay in the KNP.

    Basic

The lush landscape of the mountain range and the Luvuvhu River a few metres away are what makes this place tolerable to stay in. It is basic, locals define it as luxury. To enjoy this place one has to give up the idea of a city or dorpie mentality. It would not work here. Still good for overnight when one is visiting these areas.
