Too quiet... but good for divingWe had a weird experience with this resort that got soso better as the day passed by. When we arrived it was raining and it was low season, the resort was empty. This is a small resort with it's own private beach. Beautiful that it has it's own beach but the beach is not for swimming, the dock is use for diving expeditions. When we arrived the front desk lady, didn't know we were arriving- she also didn't know if our stay included breakfast which did. The room was clean, basic, good AC, nice bed, equipped with a fridge and television. No toiletries- no hand soap but there's hot water. There's a lot of mosquitoes in this resort especially in the evening. The filipino food they serve is not the best-- more of a 3/10 -- but the pastas are good. Avoid ordering filipino dishes, the front desk informed us that they didn't shop for vegetables and have no ingredients for most of their dishes. The owner is a very nice lady married to a German family hence it's a popular diving resort with German tourists. We felt that when we visited it was low season and the resort was not running but accepting guests. The jacuzzi was out, there's no ingredients for food but this place is perfect for peace and quiet since it's very far away from the city-- an hour away so their restaurant is the only option you have for food and not so cool if they don't know that you're coming :)

Really enjoyed our stayWe really enjoyed our stay over 4 nights. Everyone was really nice and helpful and especially the open water diving course was great. You just have to be prepared that there is not a lot to do around besides diving and the offered activities and that the water close by the (very nice and quiet) beach is sometimes full of jellyfishes. All in one it is a great place to relax and having a nice chilled out time!

Worst vacationThe worst resort Ive ever went! Flying all the way fr northern luzon to relax but it went as disaster, we arrived at resort 1hr fr the airport of Puerto Princesa and all you could see was like a jungle, were hungry so we ordered on their overprized menu and not available and we have to deal with what they can only offer which was eggplant fried in egg and cost 450pesos(like i always have at home and cost 40pesos),we are expecting at least seafoods but then even at lunch they offer us only a sandwich, then they told us that we cant swim on the ocean because of jellyfish,no convenient store since around the resort is like a jungle, heater doesnt work, the worst was brownout overnight and they dont have the generator for thier reason of its broken and theyre ordering parts in China wow,how could you use toilet and shower without water, and theres no internet! Oh and before I forgot the german owner Frank and his son Kevin were nice but the filipina wives, cant believed theyre filipinos but very unfriendly! Being in a business like that you must learn how to socialize and be friendly to your guests coz youre not above anyone else! Filipino employees though are nice, i would highly recommend Blue Palawan Beach Resort 5star

really poor experiencethere are a couple of positives...... the room's are ok and the staff are generally friendly..... that's about it. there is no beach here and u cannot use the water due to jelly fish..... so it's more like a garden resort to be more accurate..... I seen a few comments about having a great beach ...... not sure why as there is no beach...... there is a betty..... so you can spend 10 minutes looking at the sunset.... which is always nice. it is not value for money, expensive for food and the food is really bad, cheap European cooking with option A or Option B for dinner ...... there is nowhere else to eat, so you basically pay 400 pesos for nothing..... canned soup, plastic cheese, deep fried stuff ???? ...... no real local food worth mentioning. there is a beach bar, but there is no staff there and it's not comfortable ..... so count that out. the people who run it spend most of the day fighting with each other ...... so it becomes uncomfortable to be in any public areas...... which is where they spend all their time..... it ends up feeling like your invading their space rather than paying good money to have your own space ........ it just gets REALLY annoying listening to the owners booming voice shouting and everybody else crying or arguing back ...... really kills the vibe...... the staff look terrified most of the time..... which is also not great for the atmosphere. the place is lit up like a high security prison so you can also count out any nice evening mood lighting ..... but the public areas are largely closed down after 8 anyway, there is no music or vibe and nowhere to relax ...... so you will be in bed by 8 anyway, not forgetting the perimiter check by security every 30 minutes ...... largely this is a repition of the other reviews, no beach, bad food, expensive, transfers are also expensive, unfriendly and over powering......... but if you want to visit an expensive German military camp ...... you found the right spot.

Great StayMy husband and I stayed at Coopers for a total of two weeks. This is a great resort. It is outside of town, so it very quiet. We slept great every night. The staff at this resort are outstanding. Very friendly, and always very helpful. They were able to grantevery request that We had. The owners, Frank and Ludia are a class act. They treated us like family. We had a great time with them. The diving is very good muck diving, and we did a night dive and saw several Mandarin fish. My husband got very good pictures of the Mandarin fish. We also saw ribbon eels, ghost pipe fish, jaw fish, and lots of nudibranchs. Kevin is in charge of the diving and does a great job. He is very articulate, and we enjoyed speaking with him. The food in the restaurant was always very good, and fresh. We enjoyed all of our meals, and especially the fresh fruit that was served at every breakfast. They also hosted a barbecue on our last night, and all of the guests had a great time, and enjoyed the excellent food. Diane who runs the office, was very organized, and helpful in assisting us in planning our trip, and also put together a trip to the Underground River, which is a must see. This resort is excellent, and I highly recommend it. If you are going to Palawan to party, this may not be the place for you, but if you are going to be with other people who love to dive, and stay at a great resort, this is the place for you.
