  Fabulous value for money

  Magnificent views and cute old fashion accommodation . Only stayed 1 night and was really impressed by this 3 star property. Yes the rooms are a little shabby but you are in the country! We stayed in queen bed in a little cottage. It has TV, microwave, toaster, kettle in the kitchenette which is perfect to enjoy a little something on your veranda. I would definitely recommend as its only about a 10 minute drive to Berry.

  Wine tasting

  We visited here for wine tasting and Tony was fantastic! Even though he was the only one there and he had three groups he managed to make us feel like his only customers. The wine was fantastic with great history behind each label. Will be back to stay!!

  Great peaceful stay among the vines

  The stay was great. Clean and tidy rooms. A great history goes along with each aspect of the place and you can read about that on your very own self guided tour of the accommodation. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the breakfast packs.

  We visited for dinner

  Amazing food. We ordered squid for the entry, and the beef pie for main (best pie we have ever had) Great service, and lovely atmosphere. We found this little gem on the last night of our stay but I think it is only open Saturdays for dinner. I would recommend this restaurant for dinner A++

  Comfortable room in historic village

  We booked a couple of nights here just to get away from home and were very pleasantly surprised. Their website shows a whole rang of converted buildings turned into hotel rooms but the basic choice seems to be a "village room" which is basic or a "mini suite" which gives you a lot more. They are allocated when you arrive just like hotel rooms and you drive to your room and park nearby. We only booked a plain village room but this included a huge and very comfortable bed, soft furniture, dining table and minimal kitchen facilities. The furnishings and bathrooms are all new and clean, the air conditioning and tv all work fine but these are all quaint old historic buildings not a state of the art shiny hotel. We loved it. Also the room door opens on to the gardens which is lovely but the hotel warns that some of the smaller creature might want to join you in the room so you have to be understanding (lizards not spiders so all harmless). All of this means the air is clean and the ambience is quiet so relaxation is easy. Unfortunately right now their restaurant only opens on Saturday nights so we could not try that but their are several little towns within ten minutes drive or you can bring in wine and a pizza which we did one night. The roads around are not exactly busy so getting places is easy. This place made such a change from a normal boring hotel that we enjoyed it very much.
